Ok what are you having? Actually though once I'd paid off my ten year old university debts and those intermittent loans from my dad I'm only marginally more solvent than I was before.

Eric, Thanks for the link. I have been doing some pro-bono work for an organization called "Every Child Ministries" headquartered in Hebron, Indiana, that has a regular program of building shelters, schools, clinics etc. in Africa - recently in Congo. I have forwarded the interview with Sinclair to the director. They typically load up one or two ship containers of materials and equipment and take it to wherever they are working and build pretty much conventional structures -- maybe this will give them something to think about, it certainly has given me some thoughts. Thanks again Jim

Here in the US folk like to box other folk into polical affiliations. If you are gay then you are a liberal, if you hunt you are conservative, if you own a prius you are liberal, if you have a hummer you are conservative...etc, etc. The AM radio bands here are riddled with political pundits and religious inforcers, fueling arguments all through the day, selling millions in adverts and getting wealthy in the course of it, to them it's entertainment, to the listeners it's a serious issue that requires debate and conversion of those with a different opinion. No wonder Mc Carthyism worked so well.

Ah yeah, he has a foundation for people fuffering from leukemia, for instance. On the "Three tenors" he said they will never substitute Pavarotti, who has retired being seriously ill now, with another tenor so most probably they won't have the "Three tenors" set up again

In my younger years I used to share a house with some other mates. Things went great, they had their parties and fair share of women suitors. One lady, in specific, caught my eye (let's not mention she was a swimwear model at that time) but I never thought anything about it because she and my friend had stuff going on. So about two years later in another town (an hour's drive from the previous) I was sharing a house with some mates again. One morning, as I was on my way out to work there is this knock on the door. I open. o_O There she was standing, in front of me. I was like, WTF?! It turns out she had some stuff going on with one of my (now other) mates. That was very unsettling to say the least. Small world we live in.

I saw an article about the McLaren Technology Centre in an auto magazine. It seems that the building is both an architectural triumph and an expression of it's director's mental health. Here's a quote I found on-line from http://www.icon-magazine.co.uk/issues/november/mclaren.htm @unknownuser said: Indeed, the building has become something of a built expression of Ron Dennis himself. Many of the operative features of the building are a result of his personal ethic, such as his clean desk policy, a rule of no food or drink in desk areas, his hatred of blinds, pipes and cables ("How can a mind be right if under the desk is a chaos of wires?") and his no-touching plan for many office systems, such as the lavatories, in which the flush, soap dispenser, tap and dryer are all operated by sensor. Dennis wants to achieve a space that attracts and facilitates the best minds in the business through what boils down to social engineering. The problem is that the metaphor of the building as an extension of McLaren's F1 cars reduces the people inside it to cogs and valves For me, that changes the beautiful space into something a little sinister.

youtube is fantastic... it has a wealth of learning on it... it is free speech embodied... I think it's just great. this horse loves the music and also loves the show, you can tell that she knows everyone is watching her, and she rises to the occasion I really liked how he appreciated her at the end, he knew who was really responsible Kristoff Rand http://www.aboveallhouseplans.com -Unique Custom Home Design-
