Glenn, I think the only time limit would be if you wait until Version 8 comes out. then it'll probably be too late to upgrade to 7.1.

Yes, I agree that the majority of people in Ireland are under the impression that a 'yes' vote will continue the gravy train or at least the 'bail out' Euros'. I feel they will be in for a very rude awakening in the not too distant future. Some months ago I read a very interesting article which debunked the Irish 'gravy train' suggestion. While Ireland did gain billions from the EU for infrastructure, roads, ports etc, we also gave away our fishing rights, (the largest in Europe) for the quick buck! The Polititians that did this should be shot! I would have much preferred if our idiot politicians had the foresight to see that we could have developed this industry to its maximum instead of relying on the likes of Dell, Intel etc etc that are really only here for the tax breaks and low wages of 10 years ago. The only problem now is that similar tax breaks and much lower labour cost is available in the newly joined EU countries, Poland etc. Still the up side is that I think Ireland is now starting to SEE that we have to build on what we have, Fisheries (hope we take them back), Green Food Production, Wind and Wave Power and not to forget Tourism. However it will take at least 10 years plus before we will see these industries being fully developed. Mike

As of last week, Native Client has been integrated into Chrome. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I think it will run .exe applications in Chrome (on Windows, at least.)

Lets hope, it won't get 'shut down order' as Green Power Inc of Pasco, Washington. http://pesn.com/2009/08/07/9501560_CEO_appealing_GreenPowerInc_shut-down_order/

This might work but I don't think Sketchup is really an uprez utility - try the open source SmillaEnlarger ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/imageenlarger/ ) instead - or if you're made of money, Genuine Fractals. Regards - Martin

@arail1 said: Thanks Jeff. 10.5 will still be a good upgrade for him. I have lots of machines at my desk and at home and one of my test machines is a Powerbook G4 laptop running 10.4 Tiger. Sometimes I'll test something on that computer and forget to switch back over to a primary machine! Raw computing power aside, it works fantastically. I think you'll be very happy with Leopard on a PPC G4.

The cost of the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics was just finally paid for last year, by the taxpayers of Montreal. It cost another $175,000,000.00 to put a leaky-retractable-roof on the Stadium after the Olympics. When you fly into Montreal you cant miss this dilapidated eye sore rising amongst the otherwise pristine skyline. A decaying concrete Dinosaur structure is all that remains. Its going to be interesting whats going to happen to all the poor people that live just 3 blocks up the mountain side from Rio's prime million dollar real estate?

Have a look at the Hardware Speed Test topic (and/or even take the test on your computer). Many members posted their specs there for comparison with the test.

Wander around the lower east side and the east side of Soho (beyond Lafayette into the neighborhood which used to be Little Italy) The store Evolution in Soho (skeletons, fossilized snakes, spiders, meteor fragments, etc.) MOMA and the Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Natural History The top of the Empire State Building JandR in lower Manhattan for computer stuff The Apple store across from the Plaza Hotel Jacques Torres chocolates on Hudson St Johns Pizzeria on Bleecker Peter Luger's steakhouse in Brooklyn (if you can spend approx. $100 per person) Central Park

Thanks Pbacot, the GoCycle has a luggage arm that the above case is attached to, looks quite good but the aluminum case is a little pricey. I think the GoCycle design team slipped up when they designed the neat carry case for the bike strictly as such! They could have designed a dual purpose case, both for carrying the folded bike also for use as a luggage case. Thanks to the link Stephen. If you are finding the Irish weather a bit wet, how about a Veltop? http://www.veltop.eu/index.php?produit_veltop_en A bit pricy and I wonder about the wet and WINDY weather, still if the wind was behind, that would be fine [image: Ga76_RearLuggageArmampCase.jpg]

LOL - I actually made deep fried Mars Bars for an international food buffet party a few years ago. I had no idea how to make batter back then, so I went to my local (Swedish) supermarket, bought a handful of Mars Bars and a packet of tempura batter, sliced the Mars Bars up, coated them in the batter and fried them. I only made them as a novelty anyway so on tasting the horrendous results I thought I may as well put them out for anyone daft/brave enough to try them- bizarrely the plate was empty in no time, one French-Canadian guy came back for seconds saying he had been skeptical, but he really liked it. Here's the thing- I suspect "real" deep fried Mars Bars are made with plain batter- water and flour. The just-add-water Japanese tempura batter I'd bought was flavoured with, among other things.... garlic. They tasted absolutely disgusting. BTW, the whole deep fried Mars Bars thing is virtually an urban legend, stemming from one chip shop making them at the request of some school kids. I have seen them listed on the "menus" of a couple of chip shops, but I don't think I know a single person who ever tried one. It's more of an in-joke than something anyone actually orders. @linea said: LOL! When was the last time you were in an English pub or restaurant? The mid 70's?! Food in England is so diverse now. Microwave Lasagne anybody? Haha, my point is an Englishman would find it no harder to find great food in Scotland than a Scotman would in England, especially if you take into account that England's population is 10 times that of Scotland. There are few meals anywhere which can beat the satisfaction of tucking into a proper Yorkshire Sunday roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. I just got back from Berlin and, while German traditional cuisine is hardly world-renowned, modern Germans' tastes are so well developed that I haven't eaten so well in a long long time. In fact the only country I've been to where I couldn't find a single decent restaurant was the Czech Republic (and service with smile seemed to be an alien concept), but that was over 10 years ago. OK, I'll get down off my soap box now, but that's got me thinking, it's about time I did a Sunday roast!
