Come over here, Dave, and you'll see wonders! Ther whole area (although only about an hour and a half walking distance from my home) is part of the National Park for its natural beauties as well as full of historic monuments. Just at the foot of the hill, there's a little village with a 13th century, little church (see the Placemark with the images also attached): [image: tn_1img042.jpg] [image: tn_1img043.jpg] and it's full of beautiful frescos: [image: tn_1img039.jpg] [image: tn_1img038.jpg] [image: tn_1img035.jpg] [image: tn_1img041.jpg] [image: tn_1img036.jpg] [image: tn_1img033_1.jpg] Cserkut.kmz

It reminds me on http://www.dynamicarchitecture.net I haven't understood yet why this can be more efficient and less energy consuming than normal buildings, but they say it would be a green building!

Yeah, I think we're talking the same thing. When "verdes" (green) become ripe they are called "maduros" (meaning "ripe") and are cooked as you described. Yes, we give this fruit the most obvious names

I had a brain stroke because of hard working, to much time without sleep. I loose my job and my wife. I'm invalid now. I have three small children. My SU hangs up sometimes

I've been looking at what's on the market in the downsized 'wheels' department. It would be great if there were some reasonably priced electrics or hybrids there but its going to be a few years before that happens. In my book one little car ticks most of the boxes, its the Fiat Panda 100HP! High driving position, plenty of room for bits and pieces and more if the rear seats and folded and its quite nippy at 0-60 in around 9 sec, also it does around 45 mpg! And most importantly its easy on the pocket. I see 2 year old specimens advertised at nearly half full retail price. Oh! and its got tinted glass so you won't be recognised driving around in your downsized 'wheels' But the main thing is its a lot of fun! The 4x4 version Fiat Panda 4x4 vs Range Rover http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAg4DdXAp7Y doesn't look as good as the 100HP but the proposed Fiat / Jeep Phoenix looks the business for a bit of off road fun. What would be your choice for downsized wheels? [image: qk7Y_Panda100HPFront.jpg] [image: EeD8_Panda100HPRear.jpg] [image: vVoQ_Phoenix4x4FiatJeep.jpg]

Wow, from the master of light, a conversation that begins with bricks. Beautiful! btw, that not actually what Kahn said, but what do you expect from a movie:-) It was more like, "it wants to be an Arch".

Sorry, it's not my intention to bother. It must be the mediterranean temperament you know... I don't believe any computer could ever get irrational sentiments as be have. I'm more realistic, I think our generation can make many gradual changes to this system. I'm thinking in the enormous potential of the human intelligence when is well applied. I can't believe our life must be conditioned to pay our home mortgage, etc. Will visit your links, thanks.

Fefo, I'll make a note never to live beside you I think this technology has a ways to go before it becomes anything like common place but I can see it cutting construction costs substantially in time if it can be proven safe. With regard to 'who pays for the energy?' question. Maybe in order for this technology to work some outside the box thinking would have to come into play. For to work it might be required that the end user machines would have to be computerised / linked to the network to show consumption? Now that would stump Fefo but would be a further invasion our our privacy, that is unless ultra efficient energy producing devices come into play that we could use in our back yards or integrated into our home fabric. The problem I have with "single world" anything is that it has nothing at all to do with the people or the world, or making the world a better place. There is no altruistic reason for this, no reason to stop war, no halt to genocide, no cessation of doing all the stupid things humanity has done for a thousand years. If they wanted to create such a world, why not make it for free education? Free health care? Jobs for all? Stop the production of arms and ammunition worldwide? I figure this is every bit as reasonable as a centralized world government. The reality is: It's about money. It's about business. It's about greed. It puts all the power and money in the hands of a few and makes it easier for businesses and commercial entities to access and control the flow of goods and resources around the world. Unless a "New World Order" includes a system to level the playing field for all peoples, it serves no purpose other than the aforementioned. Even if it did, it would never work; if a system of government like that actually worked, we would have started using it a long time ago.

@dyppmo said: I'm not sure why the last 2 images have a black background when uploaded but I'm not going to fix it right now. Sorry but I can't contribute any meaningful just about this; the thumbnails of png files with transparent backgrounds, when made by the forum software, always show up like this. Don't worry about them.
