Being self-employed there was no mandatory (or even voluntary) All Hallows Eve dress sort of affair. However, I did attend a party last Friday night and this was me. I was surprised by the number of people who actually tried to light me on fire. I had a burlap sack head piece but I could not see - or breathe - so it did not last long. [image: RUtE_Halloween.jpg]

When my granddad was 84 I was about to turn thirty and thinking I should maybe grow up a bit...so I asked him what it felt like to be his age. Classic answer: "Not a bit different than when I was your age...until I look in the mirror...or try to get out of the lazyboy." Best, Tom.

Excellent! Glad to help. It is no problem working with the laptop lid closed (known as clamshell mode), AFAIK. You should check out this site: http://forums.macrumors.com/index.php If you can't get an answer to a Mac question there, the answer is more than likely NO

Ok what are you having? Actually though once I'd paid off my ten year old university debts and those intermittent loans from my dad I'm only marginally more solvent than I was before.

Eric, Thanks for the link. I have been doing some pro-bono work for an organization called "Every Child Ministries" headquartered in Hebron, Indiana, that has a regular program of building shelters, schools, clinics etc. in Africa - recently in Congo. I have forwarded the interview with Sinclair to the director. They typically load up one or two ship containers of materials and equipment and take it to wherever they are working and build pretty much conventional structures -- maybe this will give them something to think about, it certainly has given me some thoughts. Thanks again Jim

Here in the US folk like to box other folk into polical affiliations. If you are gay then you are a liberal, if you hunt you are conservative, if you own a prius you are liberal, if you have a hummer you are conservative...etc, etc. The AM radio bands here are riddled with political pundits and religious inforcers, fueling arguments all through the day, selling millions in adverts and getting wealthy in the course of it, to them it's entertainment, to the listeners it's a serious issue that requires debate and conversion of those with a different opinion. No wonder Mc Carthyism worked so well.

Ah yeah, he has a foundation for people fuffering from leukemia, for instance. On the "Three tenors" he said they will never substitute Pavarotti, who has retired being seriously ill now, with another tenor so most probably they won't have the "Three tenors" set up again
