My approach is virtually the same as Adams. Like Solo, I typically reserve "wow'ing" or surprising the client with a rendering until it is a $30k+ project. However, I did render and sign two small $6k projects last week (but the pool contractor that referrred me was happy that he signed both pools). I invested about 2 hours in each rendering, which is a minimal loss of time if they did not buy (but they would not get my 2D or 3D plan if they did not contract). (Btw, I was quoted in the article - screen name 'Gtrplyr') Thanks to Adam, who has been a huge help and inspiration, along with all the great contributions here (I am usually a wallflower). Aaron H

Whow, exactly. Yes it is true, it is all about the precision of the models. Only it's asking a lot of your computer. and you need a lot of patience. jeremy

Here's an update. RoofTiles look small and i might need to stretch them out in the x direction or i might try the Blender tiles, above. [image: QmPt_UpDate.jpg]

Got me some Chartpak Ad markers and gouache. Still working on this, but I would like it to look somewhat unfinished. [image: 2fej_1a.jpg]

Mate I think the two most important processes are to get two differing sun shadows - you can test this in SU by bringing your first image in as a watermark! Then the other is ensuring your light effects added in PS post pro match closely the sun directions from SU! Also obviously the choice of line type and density on at least one of the SU exports!

Hi Vincent, Very good modeling work, and "Movie" effect Skills. But you can do the same render and even better with a cheaper renderer engine than Vray... like Twilight render, Thea, indigo etc... Like this you will not need to cadge money at the end of your video...
