Exterior w. lighting

This is a little outdoor entertaining area that I designed for a client, modeled in SU and rendered with Vray for Max. They wanted a natural space with boulders, firepit, lighting and plantings. I had a little issue with light leaks around the windows, but then realized I forgot to weld the verts once in 3ds Max.

Wow. Very Nice work. If that job wasn't sold before you did those renders, I bet it did after the clients saw it! I had some trouble with picture three, the little "god rays" on the corners of the rock kept grabbing my eye, then I'd look at the shade on the landscaping lights, sorta looks burned in and 2d. The rest are awesome

This one in particular is a repeat client of mine, who had us do the front yard last year and now we are tackling the back. I make the bulk of my living (and spend most of my time) on the installation side of my business. On this project, we will truck in boulders and large irregular pieces of Pennsylvania Flagstone which we would hand cut to create nice tight joints. We'll also do the firepit and seatwall with a dry stacked method and cap it with a template cut stone. We do all our own lighting and planting as well. I must say it's really fulfilling to see a project through from design to finish build. BTW - I also help run a website for contractors where we discuss and teach new guys design and installation techniques for outdoor construction and masonry, including Sketchup as our main design program of choice....it's http://www.prohardscaper.com if you're interested.
