yeah, that is all coming down..I think that's just a veneer as well. I haven't actually been out to the site, but my coworkers have. the garage is part as well...turning it into a small indoor/outdoor bar as well as some storage and a spot for their dumpster.

@daniel said: All three words are synonymous. In the U.S. I think most would use the term ottoman. Thanks for your explonation and compliment. I have searched on these words but each word have several meanings, some of them are a bit weird. @daniel said: I tried modeling a sofa once - looked like it was carved from stone. I hope these models makes it a bit easier

I guess the Gecko was not a good idea. I have now started a new post for Studio Rendering, using a green dragon: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81%26amp;t=56904

that glowing onyx material is really cool. maybe needs some rounded edges all around to give it a little more detail, since its such a simple striking design.

Overall, nice rendering. A few points (IMHO): The people appear to have a white halo around them, and comparing them to the materials and the car, they look out of scale (too small). The gray wall in the background looks flat, devoid of any texture - doesn't look realistic. You have some light rays projecting from some of the top corners - why? It seems out of place in what looks like an otherwise photorealistic approach. If your going for a more mannerist style that emphasizes the form, you should use that approach on the whole form you want to emphasize. Water seems a bit too agitated for a swimming pool.

Well could you? Send it to India? And why not provide NPR to the bored client? Actually you could send the job to the Philippines and get a super NPR job from a great guy (Alan Casas). I think the same thought (outsourcing) has been around for a long time with CAD production, but I am convinced I cannot do it effectively. There will also be cheaper producers out there whether they do it in house or outsource, and I don't intend to compete with them (in cost). You can also get less expensive PR and NPR in the "West" from great people, if you know where to look. I like to see (and use) NPR too.
