I'm also considering to try out LightUp once I have enough time (and "ready" models to test it). Note that it has a trial version (AFAIK 1 month) so you don't risk anything giving it a chance. Here is a topic on the LUp Forum I was browsing yesterday (in fact, it was for a different reason but then the same thing you're contemplating on came to my mind). And here is a video by Adam (author of LightUp) that demonstrates some workflow from LUp to Unity: [flash=500,400:1gxuoxhv]http://www.youtube.com/v/eNI2RjNsRwY&hl=en&fs=1&[/flash:1gxuoxhv]

thats a good tip...honestly thank you. I have never gotten into the workings of a camera (and I probably should considering the relations between them and rendering), but that makes a lot of sense. I will try that method in the future sometime. But thanks again for the explanation.

@prisoner said: Very nice model Thanks! @prisoner said: Medieval stuff is what I'm modeling too Where can see your models? @prisoner said: What makes me a bit dizzy here is looking at the right side of the building, with the small windows. Maybe its just me, but I thinks it looks like beeing of a totally different scale than the front and reference guy. The windows are small because it is a barn and farmers dont wants that the sun enters through the windows...

Krzysztof, your pictures are not displaying; you might try reloading them. I'm afraid you will not get too many comments if people have to download your model to look at it, as it takes a little while. Nice model, beautifully detailed, but I think you can do with better brick textures. The orange one doesn't do your model justice, IMHO. Also, when you have so many edges displayed together, try turning the edge setting (under styles) to 1 instead of 3, so they don't look like one massive edge when viewed from a distance.

These are merely about me trying out every single button in Photoshop, I'm afraid.

@prisoner said: To me, calling those models "bad" seems to be a clever way of fishing for compliments Sorry if here is a mistake with the title of the thread... I dont go searching compliments but critics @prisoner said: I like the arc and the details. Thanks

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I wasn't really going for a "scene" at this time. I'll repost this when I have completed the rest of the items. Best regards, Jack

This is a preliminary render. I like it so far, but there is still work to be done. [image: 1YoU_Render1-270passessmaller.jpg]
