Yes, not perfect, as the average human Field of View appears to be in the region of 155°h x 120°v. Still, its a good start and comparable devices offer much the same performance.

Packed Pixel has reached 75% of the target in a week. Some renders, noted the third down is a SketchUp set-up [image: Kduy_PackedPixel.jpg] Here is an update link, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/753230753/packed-pixels-an-extra-monitor-for-your-laptop-0/posts/1016558?at=BAh7CDoMcG9zdF9pZGkD7oIPSSIIdWlkBjoGRVRpA8P8DEkiC2V4cGlyeQY7BlRJIhgyMDE0LTExLTEzIDIxOjAyOjIwBjsGVA%3D%3D--7f9d5b04a512cc1f01580a9ae40c801c106aa922%26amp;ref=backer_project_update

I noticed that if I disable 'redefine thumbnail on save' in 'Model info - File' saving a file is a matter of (milli-)seconds on my SSD. If I don't disable it, saving a file takes up to 20 to 30 seconds. wow, you're very observant to notice that small box I will give it a try, Thanks!

@andybot said: Unfortunately, not many PC laptops will last ten years, no matter the spec. It's just hit or miss. When a motherboard or processor dies, there's not usually any fixing it like you can a desktop. They just seem to wear out one way or another. True.

Thank you. No Kristoff, it has two small buttons on either side and you have to select what command you want to utilise. I wont criticise it at all because it is a mobile device - if you want more functionality then you need to go to their other product offerings - fair enough I'd say! The review wasn't as detailed as you or Rich's but it hopefully gives potential users an intermediate users perspective.

@unknownuser said: This one is not so bad for a simple PC or MAC Computer with any big screen(s)! And you can use crazzy free prog like Verve! (PC) (with 60 tilt levels of the rotation of brush) Sure it's not easy to use it in fresh air! You must stay at home! Not bad, but having a screen to draw on seems to have a huge advantage, and i must admit i do a lot on the move so having the table version was a must.

@dermotcoll said: I uninstalled the software and then reinstalled it using the drivers on the website -(why bother with a disk in the box?) and it has installed all the the sketchup required menus. Should have asked if you had the latest driver version! Glad you managed to get it all working. I'm sure you'll enjoy it once you get used to it... mine has totally transformed the way I work with SketchUp. Cheers!

@numerobis said: @tandem said: The matt screen is one of the reasons I kept and still use my 2006 17" Mac Book Pro same here I'm still using my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 with matte screen - added a Samsung SSD last year, so it is still working great for me (win 7) but i really would like to have an option to replace it maybe next year. So, thanks for sharing this Mike! I would be interested to hear about your long-term experience. Is there any colour shift due to the foil? How is the difference in light intensity? I've been using the Moshi iVisor for a couple of weeks now and find it great. I don't notice any colour shift or difference in light intensity. The good thing about the iVisor is that it is easily removed. The iVisor only has a adhesive around the perimeter and it can be flipped off and on in a few seconds. I have no reasons that I can think off for taking it off however.

Yeah, I moved too fast on that cooler. It was actually sold separately as these CPUs do not come packaged with cooling fans. Getting a replacement is on the list.

I just received an email from DAZ 3D with ads for the new version of Reallusion and found this 6 year old post that had only one answer. I pose the same question, has anyone tried it out. It will accept 3DS files so SU models ought to be functional, and you can import google warehouse objects. It is $140 for the pro version and the demo video of what it can do is fascinating. I have been using LumenRT4 and enjoy the life it puts in the walk/fly throughs. With Reallusion it appears that you can green screen your actions and have your own avatar or a clients avatar in the model, interacting with the spaces. I wonder about the learning curve and the cost of additional modules. Any thoughts????
