The elevations "fence" views are more for the local Authority. They show the proposed boundary heights in relation to the property and neighbouring properties.

All windows in the UK that I have ever been involved with are rebated slightly from the front face of external leaf "30mm" With 100mm external leaf, and window profiles now 70mm the inside edge/back of the window is flush with the inside edge of the external leaf. Are you thinking about the old Box Sash's? they where located on the back of the external leaf "100mm rebate" on them old things....

This is the first time I have done such a thing as combining SketchUp with Acad, so not up to speed on other products/exporters etc.
For a "descent result" I "publish" the layouts from ACAD to a DWF file, then I PDF from the DWF file. Much better quality & much smaller file size too...
