Materials Problem with Architecture...
-
Hello fellow users,
I have a bit of a problem I would like to resolve. Its in regards to materials. I have attached the skp file to show you what I mean. I now assume when you apply a material to a surface its insert reference point must be the 0,0 default start in SketchUp??? because when I have a surface I want to attach my "block work" material to, the start of the pattern is all wrong. It does not start the material in the corner of the surface where I want it to, but takes it's "start point" from else where. Does anyone know how I can change this to show the block work as it should be?
I know this happens in AutoCAD with hatch patterns, but if it happens in SketchUp this will be no good at all.

right click on the texture and from the context menu select Texture>Positon.
This will show you a ghosted view of the extent of the texture. You will be able to use you mouse to drage it around and reposition it. -
Thank you for that Sorgesu,
I thought there must be a way to do it!!!

Just as an aside, you can tell AutoCAD where to start a hatch by using the SNAPBASE command.
