Hi all
I have just bought a new macbook pro 15", 2gb graphics card, 16 gb ram.

Once i loaded sketchup 2016 i noticed that the tool icons are tiny and therefore the inference engine and snapping are really hard to use as it will snap to points very near a vertices and not the actual vertices i want.
Also plane clipping has become an issue as i have to zoom so far in to grab points accurately.
Generally the platform seems unstable and takes ages to save. I am very disappointed as i thought it would speed up my workflow not make me slower. Is this a software problem as I don't seem to have any problems in cinema 4d, photoshop

Hi all
Can anyone tell me how to hold the circle tool on a specific plane.
It used to be hold the shift key on a specific plane and that would keep it locked on that plane so you could then transfer that to another point. In 2016 it seems to have changed.

Hi everyone, I need to get some more scaled people to add to my layout documents as the ones supplied by layout are not very good. I have tried drawing some freehand but am struggling to weld all the lines together to be able to have control over the fill options. Please let me know of any resources for this or a way to join freehand scribble lines together to be able to fill them.

Thanks all.I downloaded the trial to a friends computer and then exported from there.Not ideal but worked for this time.

Its evaluation version 2014.Thats probably why.

I have a vectorworks file i need to import into sketchup via dxf/dwg can anyone help as my version of vectorworks dwg export option is greyed out and im not sure why.

I have been saving files in Layout with names like for example
22.06.15_MBU_01
for the past 2 years with no issues
All of a sudden it wouldn't save it to the target folder so i saved it to the desktop and then moved it afterwards.
And now i am having to re link the SU file every time i open the relevant Layout file.
Can anyone tell me why i am having this re linking problem?
The amount of time i am wasting navigating to the file to re link is ingratiating.
Also dangerous if subtle changes in the model are not reflected in Layout as the joinery i am drafting is constantly changing.

Hi can anyone tell me why Layout has started to show an error message saying i cant save a document with punctuation marks in the name? I have taken the punctuation marks out and it still wont save so basically i cant save anything. Thanks in advance.

And Utiler it was the width i was trying to get not the height.

Creating the guidelines didn't seem to work either.See pic.
I did a tester on a flat wall and it worked fine however when you put the guideline in the corner it doesn't

Paper space dims didn't work it just doesn't want to snap anywhere near the line of the wall.I have set auto scale but the blue cross hairs snap either side of the line.

Also group from slice is switched off.

Any ideas greatly appreciated

I am having trouble with dimensioning an elevation in layout which has a section cut in it.
I have added a section cut face and created group from slice but still am unable to get my dimension tool in layout to snap to the edge.As you can see in the pic it should snap to the edge and give me a 1208mm dimension.

Hey everyone
I am trying to use cutlist and its displaying my parts limited to the width of a board instead of a sheet
ergo all my carcass sides which should be 600mm deep are only 200mm deep.
Is there a way of turning off the board option and only using the sheet function?

Hi All.I am trying to export(2d graphic DXF/DWG) a skirting board profile and send it to company for production and every time I export,and then open it in AutoCAD the measurements have changed or the document is blank.
Not sure whats going on here any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Hi There,can anyone tell me why i can't get cultist to work anymore?It was working and then decided to stop.I have downloaded it again and selected some geometry,the cultist window appears but when i press the Run button nothing happens.I don't think it is a trial version.I desperately need a cultist plugin that supports metric.

Im afraid this dragging on to the toolbar or file part of the tool bar doesn't work for me.
Im using sketchup pro 8 and mac osx 10.7.5

Can anyone tell me why when i try to put dimensions on my layout documents they come out very inaccurate.
In-fact totally wrong. for example something that should be say 900mm it says its 161mm.
