now there's one I can solve.
very nice
so this devise makes you use twice the water? the stuff you drink plus the stuff that emties from the fishtank.
are people really that stupid!
DAMN, besides we live in a closed ecosystem, the amount of water on the earth is the amount of water, you can't get rid of it unless you blast it into space. you can only change its form, BUT, since we can do this at will; whats the problem?
Mari looks impressive. to have these abilities in SU would be another milestone like SDS, curviloft, vertex tools, JPP... just to name a few

What I'd love (read pay money for) is the ability to paint on textures, use my tablet and paint away, curves and all, then be able to blend over with other textures using some sort of a blending slider.
So...who's gonna make it?
have you tried 3Dcoat ?
actually it does work! While dragging out a rectangle if you type (24 enter) the dimension after the coma remains at the cursor and the first side becomes 24". While dragging out a rectangle if you type (,24 enter) the dimension before the coma remains at the cursor and the second side becomes 24".
i could imagine if you roughly photo match the site, modelling a ground plane and most of the dominant features then place your SU house in to that, the result could be quite good. depending on how much time you spend and the viewing angle of course.
ahh, much better columns.
definitely PR now!
thanks for the clarification. it might be nice to be able to choose units when importing though.
BTW that keyboard tray should be 12" long????
unfortunatly my demo has run out so i can't do any more experimenting to get the scale right.
it could be coming in at 12 mm instead of inches???
you actually end up with too many groups IMO, it seems to create a group for each surface. i also can't seem to get the scaling to come in right.
here's the file:keyboardarm.skp
thats awsome i had to look a couple times to see if it wasn't a modified photo! in the end the only thing that gave it away was the columns, they don't quite fit, looks like they where photo shopped in after for some reason.
just checked out the lightup player. WOW!!
best SU walkthrough software yet.
BTW, do animated textures work in the player?
WOW, the solidworks importer is awsome! finally!
i must say i'm more than a little impressed, very fast! 2nd image is 12Meg SW file, came in less than 2 minutes.
just got there email too.
oouch!
its funny, i remember a time not too long ago when you couldn't get a renderer for SU. now you can't model a rock without hitting one.
