RE: Hotspot Tagging/labelling graphics

Note that an image is just a bunch of blunt, dull pixels. It's not the image that shows the labels but the engine behind it.
yes, but still...
would be nice. i guess flash would do... damn iphone

I used a GIMP filter for the above image map.
thanks! i just checked your link.
does photoshop or other have this too? not too fond of gimp personally but just that might change my opinion.
i really think that labelling should be a standard part of one of the image formats.jpg...

RE: Hotspot Tagging/labelling graphics
here's the problem:
the pdf sucks, now if you could get the highlighting and the tooltips!
i guess i'm just being greedytried as .mht and it works great, just link the hotspot back at whatever you save the file as and no problems.

Hey Rocky,
I use Snagit 10 but didn't try this feature until you mentioned it here. I got it to work....i think?
[attachment=0:md6uxaa2]<!-- ia0 -->Model This Wall.swf<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:md6uxaa2]
i got this to work too, but was hoping to not go with flash for iphone reasons... have you been able to get the link tooltip thingy to work in snagit?
i'll probably go with the flikr option if nothing better shows up but its not pretty at all. -

probably not what you're looking for but you could do all of this easily and cheaply (free) on flickr.
set up an account.. upload the photos (set to private if you wish).. use the notes feature to add text, links, etc to various areas of the images.[edit] if you do want to use flickr, use the following to add links in the notes..
<a href="url">words you'd like to be hot</a>
i can't see how to set specific areas of a photo, is there some kind of poly draw tool?

Hotspot Tagging/labelling graphics
does anyone know of good software to make popup tags or tooltips or labelling on specific areas of photos? like mouseover in html, i would like to make and use it for studying plant biology. i could label a photo on the parts then look over photo and mouse over parts i'm unsure of to make sure i'm right....
i'm using snagit editors' hotspots feature but i can't get the links/tooltips to work ,i hope there may be something a little better out there.

Install SU and bring it to it's knees with 1/2 million faces.
so true! what a waste.

RE: [Plugin] Silhouette to Plane v1.1
this could be great for making face me components! render the 3d version then apply as texture to the 2d.
-
RE: LayOut 3 crashes every time I exit the program
in win7 i find ie8 does this all the time too
so MS can't even get it right
-
RE: Tgi3D plugins -
i made the difference in regards to certain renderers are a lot more complex and useful for more than one app via inexpensive plugins and obj... import.
-
RE: Tgi3D plugins -
I think they probably just gave ThomThom a few ideas for vertex tools
I don't see how they could patent this i've seen a hundred 3D progs do that!
PS, i don't think a plugin should EVER cost more than the program it runs in, unless the parent program gets a cut. Ridiculous! BTW, i'm not including renderers in this statement. (at least not the ones that are also stand alone such as Thea) -
RE: Bonzai3D - double take
sometimes "virgins" find more flaws cause their not used to working around them like users who are experienced with the offending software. I never claimed it was a tutorial and i sure as hell know how 3d software should function and so far this ain't IT!
I may be a Bonzai virgin, but a 3D virgin i'm not. (experienced in MAX, Solidworks, Modo, Sketchup...) -
RE: LightUp 1.10 released
seems like your going backwards 1.9 to 1.1 ????? the trailing 0 has no value so you might need to rethink your revision numbering
1.09 to 1.1 might be more appropriate.
one would expect ver 1.95 or 2.0 to be next
anyway keep up the good work you have a great plugin there.

RE: Bonzai3D - double take
doesn't say anything about working better, just trying to do things SU does already?????????
maybe they could prioritize function over feature. Personally, i'll check back in a couple versions. -

we live in a closed ecosystem, the amount of water on the earth is the amount of water, you can't get rid of it unless you blast it into space. you can only change its form, BUT, since we can do this at will; whats the problem?
Simply not the case, I'm afraid. Water can be destroyed very easily. Just run it through a chemical reaction that results in no water on the output side.
Sure, lots of those reactions are part of living things and tend to (eventually) release roughly the same amount. Not all though. Water gets bound into concrete for the fairly long term, for example. It gets pulled into subduction zones and held in some form within the lithosphere for potentially billions of years. It can be split by ultra-violet and the oxygen and hydrogen go their separate ways, with the hydrogen possibly departing the Earths regions since it is so light. Water simply isn't immutable; we gain some from space occasionally or from chemical reactions and we lose some. The key problem isn't the total amount, anyway. It's the amount available in a practical sense that matters. Much of human civilisation takes their water from large aquifers of glacial melt. Draw down the aquifer faster than it fills, or melt your glacier, and pretty soon your city will die. I'm told Adelaide may be the first city in recent history to suffer this fate.
with all the new hydrogen fuel cell vehicles out there
you can simple drink from someones tailpipe anyway!
