    • Printing from Cutlist crashes

I'm having a problem printing to pdf from Cutlist. I've been able to print just fine from Cutlist to pdf previously, but now when I try to print to pdf from Cutlist, it just crashes Sketchup. I can print views directly from SU to pdf just fine, and I can print to paper from Cutlist just fine. Has anybody else had this problem?

Edit: I'm using Sketchup Pro 2018, and have used it successfully as detailed above for a long time until today.

    • RE: Default stroke weight not "holding"

Found a solution: I sampled another dimension in a scrapbook I got from someone. That dimension worked as normal. So I stopped there, changed the default text, stroke, etc to what I use and the legs are acting normal again. Back to work...!

      It's 89 MB. I'm guessing it's over limit.

So I had to go away, came back and rebooted. The stroke line weight is now "sticking" for the dimensioning tool. However, a new problem cropped up. In the attached snip, I grabbed the corners circled in red with the dimension tool, dragged the dimension straight down, and the legs turned out as shown. I've tried re-running the SU install (Run as Admin), and rebooted, and the same problem occurs.Capture.JPG

Yes, that does work. The stroke weight of 0.5 (the one I sampled) sticks. I may just sample them before dimensioning, though I'm a big keyboard shortcut fan, so I use the D key a lot when I'm switching. (I've got D set for the dimensioning tool, don't remember if that is default or not)

    • RE: Default stroke weight not "holding"

Cold reboot and the problem is still there. Bummer. Fortunately, I'm putting all my dimensions on their own layer, so it's easy enough to isolate that layer, select them all, and change them all at once. It would be better not to have to do that at all.

    • RE: Default stroke weight not "holding"

OK, So I reran the sketchup pro installation by clicking Run as Administrator, and I chose Repair. Just tried dimensioning as described before, and it's still doing it (making the stroke weight 1.0 when 0.5 or even 0.6 is selected). Ugh.

    • Default stroke weight not "holding"

So I have this issue on both the Dimensioning tool and the label tool (text box with leader). I want the default stroke weight to be 0.5. So with either tool, I select the tool, and without doing anything else, I set the stroke weight to 0.5. Then I immediately use the tool. Great, as far as I know, that's how you set the default tool settings. If I come back and select the tool later, the stroke weight does show 0.5 when I go to use it. But after I finish dimensioning, let's say, the strokes looks a heavy...and yes, if I then select those dimensions, the stroke weight is 1.0 and I have to change them to 0.5. Has anybody else seen this, and am I doing something wrong?

    • RE: Imported rtf table column widths all messed up

Now I remember why I moved away from using excel to do tables in LO. None of the subscript/superscript formatting carries over, and I can't seem to correct that in the layout table.

Thanks, Dave. The table/excel works. I just hate excel for tables of text, Word is really a better tool for it.

    • Imported rtf table column widths all messed up

I created a table in Word, got it just so, and saved it as an rtf. I imported the table into LO, and all the information made it over, but the column widths are whacked, and there is a strange carryover from one column to another. (in the image which I hope is attached, column 3, the title should be "Reinforcing", which is exactly what it says in the rtf. However, as you can see, the last "S" from the column to the left was carried over. I've seen this before in other tables.)

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?Capture.JPG

    • RE: Saving/adding styles to collection

No, no watermarks in any of the styles. But the "Display watermark" is checked on all of them. If I uncheck it, I can drag/drop to the folder I want! Solved...? Not sure why it would seem to care if the "Display watermark" is checked if there are no watermarks. But whatever, I can move forward!

    • RE: Saving/adding styles to collection

So I just created a SU file from scratch, made a new style, and yes I can drag/drop it into any of those style folders I created earlier. For whatever reason, I can't drag/drop or save as a style out of the big model in question. If anybody has insight, I'd appreciate it.

    • RE: Saving/adding styles to collection

I created a style folder on both the desktop and in My Documents. I can't drag/drop styles to either one in the Style window. However, on a whim, I tried drag/drop from one of the default style sets, and I CAN do that!

    • Saving/adding styles to collection

OK, I've tried searching and following along with the few posts that cover this, so I beg forgiveness if there is an obvious post addressing this. I am on Windows using SU Pro 2017.

I have a large model with many styles in it that I want to save to my own collection. I have tried clicking on "Details" under Style when "In Model" is selected, then "Save collection as.." I can create a New folder, select that folder, and only one random style from "In Model" is saved in that folder. If I open the secondary style pane and navigate to the New folder, I've tried drag/drop styles from the primary pane (set to "In Model") to the secondary pane. It gives me that gray rectangle like it's going to add it to the secondary pane ("New folder"), but when I drop nothing happens. Check the folder via Windows Explorer and no style was added. Please help.
