    • RE: Error when closing sketchup

This happens during all of the above, everytime sketchup is closed no matter what.
      System Specs are as follows:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 (up to date)
      Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 (2.0ghz)
      3GB Ram
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 (512mb)
      Sketchup Pro 7.1

The Computer in question is a Gateway laptop. It has previously run sketchup without any errors. I also installed from the exact same file (original from google site) that I used on my desktop, where there were no issues.

1 strange thing I've noticed is that after reinstalling Sketchup remembers my license info, which led to believe me that not everything was removed. I went to the install directory and deleted everything that remained after uninstall but that didn't work. Is there somewhere else where sketchup saves files?
      Thanks for your time.

    • Error when closing sketchup

Everytime i close sketchup i receive an error box with the following:

Unable to create the error report.

Please verify that there is enough space in your TEMP folder.

After pressing OK Windows proceeds to tell me sketchup has stopped working and asks to find a solution. This only happens when i close sketchup. Everything including saving, importing, and exporting even large models works fine. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

    • RE: Linking attributes to external file

thanks for the answer, any chance you might have a link to this material? I'm currently rolling through TIG's posts but theres 238 pages (mans a hero!) and so far no luck. No luck with searching CSV or related topics either. Cheers.

    • Linking attributes to external file

      Hi everyone,
Im looking to do the opposite of the generate report function and import values for my attributes, such as price, positions, sizes etc from an excel file. I have no idea how to link any of them to any external source though. Any ideas? Perhaps theres a plugin for that? Looking through alot of the other posts that seems to be pretty common here, which is awesome! Thanks alot.

    • RE: Find and Replace Material

The select via the context menu seems to leave alot of surfaces out, probably due to grouping. The ruby script is great though! Thanks alot much appreciated.

    • Find and Replace Material

I'm trying to put together store layouts using many different components that have identical materials. All these components have multiple levels (components within the component). I need a way to replace a material with another across the whole model I.E everything thats metal turns to wood for example. Ive tried the context menu select and the holding shift while paintbucketing but niether seems to work unless i explode everything which is not an option. Any ideas? Thanks alot.

    • RE: Dynamic Options linked to each other

that would work but it would lose a bit of the aesthetic appeal i was looking for so i think im gonna need to rethink the whole idea. thanks alot for clearing it up, thats one headache over.

    • Dynamic Options linked to each other

      Hi,

I'm new to dynamic components so excuse me if this is obvious or the likes. My question is whether i can blank out/hide certain component options based on answers from previous options. For example, there is an option for sink and one for trash. However you cant have them both at once so if the user picks yes on the sink i need them to not be able to pick the trash also and vice versa. Is this possible? I hope that made sense, thanks for your help.
