At the risk of making a fool out of myself....
I am not a new user to SU and too embarassed to say how long I've been using SU. But if this helps anyone else than it will be worth it. It's probably on some video tutorial that I didn't watch for whatever reason.
OK, so I usually import ACAD or ADT models into SU. But when I do this there is always so much triangulation to clean up. It's such a pain. For some reason TODAY I just noticed the OPTIONS box when importing these models. {I know, don't laugh} Check which ever ones float your boat and Voila, no triangulation.
And if you are a "seasoned" user and you didn't know this, please let me know so I don't feel so foolish, all by my lonesome.

RE: Blocks from ADT to SU?
Anssi, I don't have to export when bringing a model into SU. I am using ADT 2004, for some reason when you import into SU it would go all skiewampus (that is the technical term) Don't know where I found this work around, but here it goes, hope you can understand it.....
In ADT, set view to "top view"
switch to "front view"
back to "top view"
then click the "undo" arrow
then file, export to AutoCAD 2000
open SU import model and everything should be fine
don't forget the OPTIONS button for settingsThanks for replying. I'll keep my ears out and let you know if I find anything.

Blocks from ADT to SU?
Is there a way to create window and door "blocks" in ADT so that when a model is imported in SU from ADT that all the similar windows import as components in SU?
Thanks for any help!
