    • RE: Multi-User Access to Layout File

No I didn't get a message that it was read only, which is the concerning part. It allowed me to open and proceed as if I had the only instance open.

    • Multi-User Access to Layout File

I ran into a strange situation where another user on our local network had a Layout file open and was actively working on it and not knowing she had it open, I also opened it and started working. No warning came up that another user had this file open and I was actually using it as read-only. I worked for ~30 minutes in the file, saving multiple times (so I thought), then closed it. We finally figured out that we both somehow had it open. Needless to say all my changes were not made.

Is this a bug that other people have experienced? We are both using Version 18.0.16975.

    • RE: Bug Splat on scene update

Turning off hardware acceleration seems to fixed it. Thanks.

    • Bug Splat on scene update

I'm getting a bug splat every time I try to update a scene in SU2013. I can create a new scene no problem, just not update an existing scene. Very frustrating. Anyone having this issue or know any remedies?

      Thanks
      Tim

    • Array in Layout

Is there a way to do an array in Layout similar to the way it is done in SketchUp?

    • RE: Has the search changed in the Components Browser

I have had a similar thing happen. I like to use the stock Google "Architecture" and "Construction" compentent favorites. Both of these are currently returning 0 results in the components window. Any thoughts about getting these back would be appreciated.

    • Printing at different scales/sheet sizes

      Does anyone know if there is a way to;

      A) Print just a portion of a larger sheet to the the correct scale on a smaller sheet. For example if the layout sheet is an Arch D (24x36) but I just want to print a portion of that sheet on letter (8.5"x11") sized sheet to the correct scale.

      B) Print a larger layout sheet, let's say 24x36, to a reduced overall scale on, on an 11x17 or 8.5x11.

      Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    • RE: Concrete Pattern

Thanks for the responses. Mainly 2d details. Recently I've tried a concrete texture that I like and applying it to the inside faces if the objects I want to detail. This seems to work well given that most of my foundation/concrete details are created by cutting a section. I generally dont like to apply it to exterior surfaces becuase i dont want to see the texture in an elevation or plan. I'm still a little worried about the quality of copies. I haven't finished most recent project that I've tried this approach on.

    • Concrete Pattern

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on work arounds for using patterns in layout? Especially a monochrome concrete pattern. I do civil/ structural work so I'm doing a lot of concrete details and not having the ability to apply a concrete pattern is some what of a problem. Using the generic concrete material texture in my models doesn't work for me for reproduction quality issues. One thing that I've tried is to save a jpg of a large square of concrete pattern in microstation and then import it into layout and clip it to the shape I need then "send it to the back". But this is cumbersome and the results are less than pleasing.
