Following on from young Ryan's model of a Stug he bet me Β£2 he could model his next tank quicker than I could!
I wish enthusiasm was contagious because he has bag fulls ATM.

Nice one Ryan, I heard they cut the grass around it three times whilst you modeled it
Brilliant
I can appreciate the effort needed to produce scenes of that quality. INHO maybe the light emitters are a little strong ? (my personal taste only).
John
Brilliant body of work Ken. The longer I look at your images the more impressed I become! the detailing is fantastic
John
Thanks Simon, posted simultaneous !
I've heard a lot of good things about Maxwell, it was my own daft fault for rushing things.
Next time I'm asked for bumpy water believe me it will have as many lumps'n'bumps in it as the wife's thermal vest
Thanks Mike.
Daniel the two main buildings were modeled from Streetview, situated in one of the oldest parts of town built maybe very late 1800's: we have a vast amount of relics to chose from here
John
Thank you Elisei, there's no getting anything past you folks
. I flipped the image at the last minute and never gave the signs a thought, it does show that the images do get examined.

Standard aging filter and border

Thank you HvanEsen, maybe the water would look better after a lot of Whiskey
Thanks Richard, I will age the buildings, my original plan was for a night scene ! Jack the Ripper streets. Let's see how it evolves.
Thanks Liam, you don't miss a trick
It's 50% scale so as not to dominate the scene, the old girls 227.5 ft in-reality. I may try again as above
John
I know, daft title !
I had a request for four images (three were to be used) here's the one that was rejected because the water wasn't "rippled" enough.

John
Very nice
maybe practical soon with 3d printing, you need a patent quickly before IKEA catch on
That's an impressive gallery you have.

I reported this problem to Nicola (author) six weeks ago after it took me over 2 hours to resolve. Her reply then was "oh we know about the problem and we will fix it " Is there no beta testing before the plugin is released. If the plugin is still available for download in it's broken state that's unforgivable, a disabled computer can mean loss of income.
I had the same problem when their last plugin OBJ importer was first purchased it.
I have tested the "fixed" release of the AO plugin if anyone would like to read a review, it's not very complimentary though
John
Phew for a second I thought you had landed the part as the next Bond
James Bond !
Looks great and has a lot of atmosphere
.
The problem with rendering older cars is people expect the paint to be as now which wasn't the case, modern cars are lacquered with a high gloss finish (sometimes with a metallic flake finish). It's very easy to make (flat) gloss paint look like plastic if you overdo the reflection and I think you've cracked it here.
John
Looks great
just proves that you don't need big fancy models.
John
Nice one Simon
great looking car although the overall image looks a little dull (dark), maybe my daft monitor though.
