Hello Simon, that's different !! looks great.
John
Thank you for the kind comments everyone.
" I was wondering where you went!! " It seems a few of the regular posters like Kriss ect. have been quiet also.
John
Hello Rich, everything is modeled and textured inside Sketchup as always.
John
Seems donkey's since I've had chance to post anything, a sleepy little English Village scene.
John
Thanks Daniel
Hello Peter, I'm not sure about "downtown", here it seems to me that almost every building except Churches and new builds (modern residential and commercial) are constructed this way, others more knowledgeable may know otherwise. Fur coat and no knickers! maybe.
John
Thank you hvanessen.
Thanks Peter, yes all gone along with the shipbuilding, mines and factories. The brickwork was typical of a lot of buildings and boiled down to cost, expensive materials on the facade and cheaper bricks to the "rear". TIG once pointed out the material difference on the roofs of buildings in an old render of mine (Durham), bottom three course of stone and clay tiles above.

Hello railwaxking and welcome to the forum. Great modeling and attention to detail .
Sketchup's not about competing it's more about enjoying modeling and being fun.
John
I was asked by the local History Group to model this building. Only one photograph available. It's fantastic to get back to modeling old buildings again.
Chimney's are slightly wide I know
John
Great work you're posting lately Jochen, I'm certain you could turn a Rabbit Hutch into a three bedroomed house.
John
Welcome to the forum. Nice model but it's very dark and monochromatic IMHO. Maybe darken the background trees and adding a couple of lamps in the foreground would help.
John
Looking great Bryan reminds me of the lamp in the Pixar Movies sequence.
John
Thank you Carsten, clay render is my favourite for showing details (and mistakes).
Hello Steve, no contest lol he's just a scally. In total it took around 20hrs all-in spread over 3 days.
We all need to see a lot more of your work posted as the forums a whole lot duller without it.
