Phew I'm glad you said that
saves me racking my brain. The two models/renders were complete in 5 shifts, nothing is rigid it was just a case of eyeing things up.

Thank you everyone.
Liam, here's the untouched render output, each model took two shifts but the top one has two buildings repeated (to pad the left hand side/top of the street). Post pro was 1 1/2 on no.2 and around 3 1/2 on no.1. The first image has a lot more hand weathering which is the part I enjoy the most

People keep asking for a walk through, hand on heart I cannot imagine that i do anything different to anyone else, infact it's harder for me to model than it is for you lot
I will happily produce a new updated version as I have plenty of time ATM but I need some suggestions/ideas from members.
Thanks
John
Steve, if Stuart doesn't want it I will certainly post it to you
John
These look great. A graphic tablet would open up a whole new dimension for you, the cheapest tablet is worth ten mice for this type of work. I have a spare wacom bamboo if you live in the uk.
John
Thank you everyone for your kind words.
Carsten, a good guess! the last time I was in Germany everyone drove a VW or a derivative
. I found the driving standards to be way higher in Germany than it is here.
Mike and Steve, these are properties out of reach of us commoners
I can barley afford to model them anymore.
Daniel, IMHO it would look better without the staircase. The cables are still a common sight in rural areas. Since privatisation of the utilities it's probably unviable to bury them , not sure if there is any regulations involved? TIG would know better.
thanks John
Thank you Carsten.
Peter it was only repainted two weeks ago, i's all those dodgy Volkswagen's
(Sorry Carsten)
John
Not sure where I seen this but it was in Somerset (I think)
Need a camera with GPS

John
Very nice
Second image gives a great sense of space and tranquility.
Thank you for your kind comments they are appreciated. These are a pleasure to make as they are "in the style" of...I can happily cheat a little
John
Very Impressive
it's difficult to tell picture from render.
Thanks Kriss.
Thanks Elisie, your correct but where would I find the the appropriate models and costumes to populate this model. Adding realism and life to a model is difficult with certain subjects and I've yet to see a car model splattered in seagull shite for added effect....
John
Hello Kriss, hope you can see the detail ok. Seven years of posting here and still having to downsize my images to 20% of original !

John
Sorry for the delay in replying, thank you for the kind comments everyone. Steve I can't teach you anything that's for sure but I'm only a PM away for anything else.
So this is no.2 of eleven I've completed up to now, posted a whole lot sooner than expected thanks to my temper

John
Thank you both.
Carston, you're correct but a slight change of plan gave me a little more time.
John
Louise Rayner, my favourite painter
.
This is one of my "cheap impersonations" of the brilliant style of Louise Rayner. I'm full of admiration of how she could convey perspective almost to perfection! I wish she was still here to teach me how to paint figures to populate it

John
Hello Kass, I'm not sure of your question. Hope I'm guessing correctly
John
Hello Lee, thanks and hope your all well. Not sure about parole I was thinking more of a knighthood!
Thanks Daniel, what is mountain to us is probably classed as a hill in America
John
Dale, looks a bit cold! we think 3 inches of snow is a bad winter here
Thanks Daniel.
Another from the same area...

Last one for a little while
John
Hello Kriss, that's strange! nevermind
Dunster.rar
Dunster.rar
removed the internal panel and till too big, just paste in place. Hope it works.
Peter, there are no bump or displacement maps as I felt it was too far away although I would have used
bump if it had been closer.
thank you, John
Hello Kriss, none (or very few) of these models are taken from plans they are purely for aesthetics, often I don't even model the backs. I'm unable to post the model, 4.02MB the limit is 4 but if you e-mail me john.higgins [at] ntlworld.com I'll send it to you.
