There was just a couple of things I was wondering before it's too late.

What version of SU should the files be saved in.
There as 16 buildings visible atm (left to right) would it better if we had a "document" in the folder to let others know which part and who is working on what.
The Model needs sorting into Layers soon.

      any other suggestions please

Hello Rich, yes there's a file I've placed in a drop-box account, but I need to add peoples e-mail to allow them to take part. I don't know any other way of doing it.? It will also protect the model as it develops.

Anyone wanting access let me know

Thanks Jon, maybe you could join in next time.
It's not as complicated as it looks, there are a lot of components used, only one house was modelled to represent those to the left and facing the camera 😎

A bit more blocking out done, everything can be altered/exchanged as we go. A bit of destruction next starting with the public house to upset Lee 😠

      Thanks Carsten.
Elisei, the tank looks good but if you could choose one from the vector drawings, they are much better to model from. I already have the credits.
Started to roughly block out the Streets/Houses and placed a proxy tank, I will sort a Drop-box account to place the .skp's pics ect.

A community model for all skill levels. A scene suggested by by ely862me it has a bit of everything, a vehicle, buildings, street furniture ect. we could use this as a starting point and let it develop over time.
First we need a suggestion for the vehicle from http://www.the-blueprints.com/ and I will purchase the vector drawings, ideally to match a model available from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/models4hobby/

      suggestions Please...

Hello Lee, that was more or less what I was thinking, the reason being is if we could agree on what we are to model and who was interested by say Friday evening we could hopefully start things off by the weekend.

First we need suggestions for a model and second who wishes to take part.

    • RE: Scania 164L

Thanks Daniel, the idea of a "community project" would be that each person would contribute as and when time permitted. The idea came when I bought the model in 1/24 scale to build and decided to model it in SU also. It was easier and more fun in SU believe me!

A model that stretched from beginner to advanced would be ideal! for instance a military vehicle or tank as it would need a backdrop of maybe an old derelict building. Each piece could be photographed and numbered, modelled and brought into a master model. Sounds like big kids fun to me πŸ˜›

Thanks Lee, you'll enjoy it. It's a great way to work and everyone learns from each other.
Elisei that's brilliant, yesterday I was hoping you would join in.

We need a few more on board then we can discuss a choice of model.

come on you know ye wanna! πŸ˜„

      Thanks everyone, forgot the frog!!

The next large model I make would people be interested in making it into a group model?
It would be great to have some new members join in as-well as experienced ppl, we could
split a model into bits and bring it back into a main collaboration. Any ideas or if
      anyone be interested?

    • Scania 164L

Scania 164L, one of the kids asked me to model a truck so here's my first (non-military)lorry. I started this with the aim of constructing it as a walk-through from the chassis up but abandoned that idea after getting as far as the cab interior and not knowing if there would be any interest.
