      Thank you everyone.
There's a reply missing above were I replied to Peter & Daniel ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I must have hit preview instead of post!

The planning application was withdrawn before the meeting to be re-listed at a latter date. The developers wants to carry out a structural survey! Postponing the inevitable.

Hello Anita, I'm really sorry you've taken Massimo's comments as being harsh, but I totally agree with each and every comment he's made. The comments were posted with the best intentions to help you further your knowledge, not as harsh criticism. You'll not find many better examples than his work to guide and inspire you.

Oli, I knew she was floating but after you pointed it out I couldn't leave it alone ๐Ÿ˜†
Not sure if the drive would ever have been stone, maybe a little aging at a latter date is in order.

      thanks

Sorry I should have explained the reason for the posts edit at the time.
I had to remove the images until a dispute over them being commercial/personal renderings is resolved, regardless the images will be re-posted tomorrow. Once again my apologies.

      Thank you Elmer & Cotty.
Mike I think the next stage is those magical fire starting fairies!

Daniel, It's all historical and original, although like almost all buildings the focus was on the front facade as you can see in the detailing at the rear, even though Lord Furness was the 6th richest person in the world at the time.
The "flat roof" section needs the roof light details adding as you can see in the pictures.

She must have been impressive in her prime.

    • Tunstall Court

Tunstall Court, been on my to model list for a couple of years now....

Designed by architect T. Lewis Banks and built in 1894-5 for the great Victorian Industrialist Lord Furness, she is one of the most important villas built in Hartlepool.
The history of the house is fascinating, there's tons on the internet and I found myself reading more than modeling. At one time she was used for the convalescence of sick and injured workers from the ship yards, later she was donated to the people of the town and used for educational purposes, until the mid 1980's when she was sold to developers.

Planning permission was granted ~2010-11 to preserve the building and divide her into apartments with several houses to be constructed in the grounds...left unprotected she is now a wreck, totally gutted. The two gatehouses are listed but not the main house ๐Ÿ˜’
      [attachment=0:2pp9x8po]<!-- ia0 -->Gate House.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:2pp9x8po]

March 2014 planning application was submitted to demolish her and build fourteen executive houses. Now history with our council and other buildings in the town usually goes (so I'm told), Friday afternoon planning approval followed by the handing over of brown envelopes, demolition starts Sat morning and is completed by Sun evening, the folks of the town are informed sometime the following week.
The Victorian society has requested the council to defer demolition for 6 mths and look at ways for a "sensitive development" ๐Ÿ˜† instead!!!

So after freezing my b****cks off on a freezing march day counting bricks in the middle of a muddy field, squeezing every spare hour modeling whilst up to my ears.....

Hello Adam, the render is much better IMHO but "Czech hedgehogs" ๐Ÿ˜ฎ they also seem to be semi transparent.

    • RE: New Render

Hello Adam, as Rich stated you need better textures, but the main problem IMHO is the scale of the table and chairs, they are far too big. You will achieve better results with the people if you place them into your scene rather than in PP (shadows).
Nice light and colours ๐Ÿ‘ .
