Hi guys,

After doing a few Interior Design projects in Layout (im an Interiors student). I am starting to tire a little of Layout's clunkiness. I much prefer the high quality interface of InDesign to create presentations.

I wonder if there is any way to import a scaled SU drawing into an InDesign Doc, in the same way as as you can import into Layout. I realise that it would not be as straight forward, and I also realise that I couldnt alter the scale afterwards in InDesign as you can with Layout. But I wonder if it is possbible to get an accurate scaled drawing on there? Is it possible to create something in PDF and keep the dimensions??

Ok guys,

I am currently working on a project which I have Geo-Located in SketchUp. I have realligned the axes in my model accordingly. The problem I am having is with my "Views" toolbar. Normally when I click on the "Front" icon on the "Views" toolbar, I get a front view of my model, with the red axis running parralel, but after I move my axes, the "Front" view does not correspond. Its like the "Views" toolbar is still using the old, default axes location.

Is there a reason for this? can the it be changed? or is it a bug in SU? Any help appreciated.

I am looking without success for a decent vismat for a swimming pool. It needs to be fairly translucent, with a fair amount of reflection and noise.

Hi guys,

Is it possible to get the .mat files from vraymaterials.de to work with vray from sketchup? When I try to import material, vray4SU looks for .vismat files. If I cant import .mat files, are there any good libraries for .vismat files. I am looking for a reflective chrome and realistic water material.

Been looking into getting a performance PC, but wonder if anyone is expert in the field of specilist GPUs for 3D modelling and rendering?

I have done a quick search and come across an NVidia Quadro range. According to the website it is developed specially for use doing 3D work in AutoCAD 2011. Would this be the best option for using SketchUp and photorealistic programs like Vray etc?
