I'm available
I could use the help. If you are between projects let me know. I have 12 of these left to complete. To tell you the truth I'm a little burnt out.
Ill put you in touch with the architects and you can take it from there. I have worked for them for years. They will pay you immediately for your work.
Solo, let me know if you are serious so I can explain what is needed and we can establish a cost per store front.

RE: Exporting a Single, Combined Texture Image
The answer is no. There are a few clues here that will help. http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323%26amp;t=61371

not that impressed
Only a small percentage of Apple revenue comes from North America. That means these products are targeted at an entirely different demographic. Apple doesn't care whether we like them or not.

Yes Andybot it is my Sugar Shack with shack being the key word.

Was it ever. Our season was weird. It started 3 weeks early, ran long enough for me to collect a batch (2days) but then it snowed and dropped to 25 below 0. The image is of me cooking the batch that day in the snow at about 25 below. Also that is an HDRI, the sun had not even come up yet. That is just the moon shining.

While I'm at it, here is another currency found in the bush. You might be able to guess. Quite an elaborate piece of architecture. Model that one for me.

Oh yeah? well we're noticing some odd results too/ got anything to source that to
There is a lot of material and reviews to find on the 780 and the 780ti. Although quite different they are both sleepers. They both seem to hover in the top 5 among all cards no matter what new cards have arrived on the scene. There is a render test built into the Lumion product. My 780 scores 21000 which is in reach of the X or Black which are scoring mid 2000s.
Not a lot of power required either. I have a 650 watt PS only. -

Is he throwing away the 780's
That is really crazy considering the 780ti is getting better test results than the "X" depending on the configuration.

a self-selecting few who will influence that value much more than the rest of us.
Some of us simple folk have just departed into the forest to avoid banks. The picture is of my wood silo. I have two that hold approx. 8 bush cords each, that's about 7000$. I keep them full.
The silo is my pay pal when it comes to purchasing many things from the community. Eggs, milk, bread/wheat, maple syrup, feed for animals, crafts, furniture, tractors...
If you are looking for freedom then this is its real currency. I have watched free-enterprise kill democracy and freedom in the last 50 years. It is surprising how many others have just moved away from it as well. I recommend it to everyone. Once you get a taste of freedom again (very few in the free world have it any more) You will never look back.
PayPal is the antithesis of the freedom and privacy I enjoy.

RE: What's the best way to learn SketchUp Shortcut Keys?
Pretty simple. If you want to get to Carnegie Hall you need to practice.

RE: Very high res rendering
There were 4 renderings. My rendering software is capable of 7680 X 4320 and actually I have given you the wrong numbers sorry, I was using my memory which is getting pretty bad apparenty ........ Here it is exactly:
We took the largest render we could achieve 7680 X 4320 and then began printing test strips to see how far we could enlarge and print it so that the detail was clear while standing and viewing. The images were lining a hallway that people traveled through and so we had a height limit of 9 feet.
The original image specs are these:
When enlarged from 7.557 inches at 1016 dpi to 40 inches the image was then 40,650 X 22866
That's pretty unmanageable..lol. I tried 500 dpi still to big, then 300 dpi which worked out great for the detail at the viewing position. At 300 dpi the pixel count was reduced to as you see it below...12000X6750
All of the final prints were 4 print collages except for two. The images that were sewn together were set up by hand basically...by adjusting the camera lens length and repositioning to get as orthogonal as possible over the section. That was not easy (shadows drove me nuts) Camera Tools might help but if you are creating one image it can be done within the renderer by-eye with some struggle.
So the final mounted images were exactly 24000 X 13500 @300dpi. 80 inches X 45 inches.

RE: I love this website, I hate this webpage.
I was kidding of course...in fact I have debated with you in the past......before Mike was the Mayor.
I quit here at about 3000 posts some time ago. Joined up again later out of necessity. My first post in this forum was of a Spirit Catcher. That should jog your memory. -
RE: Very high res rendering
The image below was printed out for a Gallery. It is mounted on wall and is viewed standing.
There were 4 pieces mounted on a single board. The final resolution was 15,360 X 8640 at 300dpi. The poster size was 80" X 42". It was hung only 12" off the ground. Of course you needed to be 7 feet tall to look at the detail at the top so as everyone has pointed out the viewing position is the most important consideration. The poster is just fun to look at because of the detail. 300 dpi was about right. I worked my way down from approx. 500dpi printing test strips for the client. The beach guys in the small image are inside that little red dot....lol.

RE: Anyone know of a good LARGE seamless roof shingle texture?
If you do a Google image search "roof" you will find some large photos. Too correct them and make them seamless in Photoshop:
Filter/Lens Correction...to get shingles to lie flat
Filter/Other/Offset...to create the horizontal and vertical seams
Burn or Dodge....to expose the image evenly (flatten) so that shadow/light/dirt are not creating a pattern. There are other ways to flatten...i.e.
You can "radial fill" towards the sun source with an opaque mask to reduce shadow. Take a neutral sample from the image. (this is a bit advanced and needs a bit of practice.)After a few tries it is quick solution to make your own and you never need to waste time looking again.

RE: Best method to create faces for complex shapes?
Sorry...made a mistake and can't edit....
As I was trying to say I do use the drape method depending on how clean the CAD is. Often I find it easier to hand trace small jobs and offset the curbs sidewalks etc. But from time to time when I have to mass up a lot of buildings I will drop the CAD onto the surface.

RE: Best method to create faces for complex shapes?
Aces, to say I never use the drape would be a fib....so sorry to confuse. I guess it would be best to say I
