The thing is when Governments screw up they can be voted out - when Banks and Corporations screw up they suffer few consequences (especially if we bail them out because they're 'too big to fail')

Also who do you think influences the governments bad policy decisions with all of their money?

    • RE: Anyone used Shapeways to sell design?

Customisers on a site I'm a member of use it to make and sell weapons and parts for action figures - it seems pretty good although there's occasionally a wait for production caused by high demand.

Interesting stats from 2009: The most violent country in Europe: Britain is also worse than South Africa and U.S.

This could also mean that the UK just has the best crime detection rates πŸ˜‰ Also the figures were compiled by the party out of power at the time and reported in the Daily mail - I don't put too much faith in them.

Enjoy the fruits of the multiculturalism and tolerance. And don't worry in 20 years GB will be a quiet place under the

Actually from the reports the Muslim and Turkish communities were the only ones who banded together to protect businesses in their neighbourhoods - succeeding where the police weren't.

Paul isn't as good as Hot Fuzz or Sean of the dead but it's still quite watchable and funny in places, best if your a geek so you can spot the homages - a bit much needless swearing though.

    • RE: Minecraft

I've been playing it a while - It's a sort of virtual lego where zombies come out and try and kill you at night, it's worth the price even though it's still in Beta - but it does need more ideas added to make it a long term thing. Some clever stuff has been made in game with the wiring/switches material (Redstone) and musical blocks..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG9SPywEGm4

    • RE: Is the Gallery section starting to resemble 3DWH?

I thing that a 'Native Sketchup' Gallery, A 'Renders' Gallery and a 'WIP' Gallery would probably work.

WIP threads are a good way for people to get more feedback - sometimes when posting a completed model you won't get as much.

Yes - it's interesting how the company who actually ran the oil rig - Transocean Ltd, is keeping incredibly quiet. I guess they're glad that the media finds it easiest to focus on BP.

Some of the creatures store energy as compressed air in bottles so they can move when there is no wind.

    • RE: 3D Warehouse and model thieves.

Whenever somebody reuploads one of my models and claims that they made it I just leave a 0 star rating and comment asking them to give credit to the real modeller - it makes no difference usually but at least it gets the point across.
