      Please install Sketchucation Tools: https://sketchucation.com/plugin/696-sketchucationtools

      Restart SketchUp after installation

Then license Curviloft per the licensing guide: https://downloads.sketchucation.com/licensing/SCFLicense-Instructions_to_Users.pdf

You can retrieve your license at https://sketchucation.com/webshop/my-licences.php

      Curviloft require Libfredo v14.5: https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=LibFredo6

Try that and report any errors if you encounter them

Very smart. Why is only one lamp on?

Would love to see that corner illuminated too.

@DanBradySU said in Fredo Tools no responding after update:

@Rich-O-Brien - thanks for the tips, sorry for the late reply, been offline. I've got no errors on Ruby, I press 'purge' from the drop down but nothing happens, still no pop-up when pressing Fredo tools and it doesn't appear to be opening off screen - other tools pop-up fine. I'm lost?!

Could your dialog be off screen? @Dan-Rathbun has an extension that sorts this issue

I think you see a big improvement in the next Rayscaper Beta build. Thomas has identified and fixed a major issue related to how materials were rendering mesh normals.

From my tests on this new build I am getting more consistent and believable material results. It was something that was bugging me for a long time.

I won't mention the other changes as that's for Thomas to speak on. But I am enjoying so far.

    • RE: Rayscaper render Living room with a cold view.

It's hard to decipher what going on as it is only a rendered image. There's no spotlight values or a raw SketchUp image showing the setup.

It’s the approx method and took about 90secs.

This new AI denoising on demand is actually improving render times by quite a large factor.

On the older builds it felt like the denoiser was running after each resolve. Now you can render, pause, check the denoise, turn it off and resume rendering again. It’s noticeably faster.

The light values too feel better. It’s not that orange kelvin anymore.

      Good stuff so far.

    • RE: [Plugin] Lightbeans

It has Enscape and Vray integration so there's an easy path to using their materials. Not sure if Twin Motion is supported.

      image.png

But, to answer your question....yes you can manually add additional maps yourself in your app of choice.

In that instance downloading directly from their site at the needed resolution is your friend.

I love their Tile materials, Really well done.

Those are beautiful. Always sad to see reliable older infrastructure consigned to history.

Especially after decades service. I understand the need to modernise but I find the design choices for the replacement tech is dull and lacks character.

I love to see engineering and mechanics.

      @L-i-am

Sorry that went over my head, happens a lot

I meant that these test scenes with the minimal amount of scope allows you to get creative.

Emission shaders, or non-standard HDRs to just go wild. I tend to use my down time to explore weird use cases for noise patterns and colours. Happy accidents.
