This proposed feature by inteloide should be integrated by default in the next Sketchup version. Having to click three times to play the animation is no good so I'll be keeping an eye when this plugin is done

RE: [Plugin] Key Scene v1.0.3
Hi,
Thanks driven for going to all that trouble to try and make the plugin work on a mac. Me not having a mac to test this issues is definitely frustrating. For the 'full screen' plugin I am sure Anton_S will be happy to help you out.
@driven said:
when I open the KeyScene-1.skp [independently], it crashes SU when I get to pages with 2 Watermarks, if I remove all the 'SpaceBar' WM it will run as a slide show ok.
I will change the double watermarks on one style and merge them together to solve the crash issues.
@driven said:
I can navigate the Menu's if I wait and or click twice. It's a bit 'clunky' and sometimes a reset is required.
I suspect that what is making the plugin 'clunky' is the sound...since in order to go to the next frame the sound needs to load. I though I solved this by using .swf to reduce the size as much as possible but I guess it is still giving problems. Or maybe is not that at all and is another thing.
@driven said:
I can go 'back' if I change ESCAPE to HOME [Esc always closes the Dialog on mac
Maybe there is a way to detect if user is on a mac to make an if statement an choose the 'HOME' key instead of the 'ESC' key...I will need to check on that.
@driven said:
I can view the the videos if I add "file://" to the path, and use VLC player to run, [DivX crashes the mac]
I guess this is why thomthom told me to learn how to call the files using the magic constant FILE. I am kinda lost at the moment on how to switch to that but I just need to study it a little bit more.
@driven said:
Modifying a group seemed to stop things working?
Not sure if when you try to modify a group you are not refocusing the web dialog since that needs to be selected for the plugin to work.
@driven said:
It maxes out the CPU unless paused...
Yeah the next frame is constantly being called couple of times a seconds so I imaging its using quite a lot of CPU power. Maybe I can learn a more efficient way of handling frames when its not needed to be updated.
Thanks again for letting me know this issues it means a lot

NOTE: I uploaded a new skp file with the watermarks merged. Hope I can solve the next issues

RE: Suggestions for Making Animation Look Better
Hi,
Nice animations! If you find that the sketchup view port looks better then allow me to recommend a screen capturing software called Fraps. The resolution is very good I find and also as a plus since you are a teacher you can record your voice explaining the geometry so you can maybe post them on youtube so everyone can learn.

RE: Animations for my Key Scene Plugin
Yeah I have seen a couple of animations of this person he likes to make crazy things like this. The city modeling is great and he has couple of animations using LightUp as a rendering option as well. Very cool indeed!

RE: Animations for my Key Scene Plugin
iichiversii - That is awesome that you think that...thanks!
Pilo - As soon as I saw this plugin I felt in love with it right away so I have the Pro Version. The free version only lets you see 10 seconds of animations if I am not mistaking. If anyone buys this please share you animation I want to see them.

RE: [Plugin] Key Scene v1.0.3
Thanks for your comments!
Aerilius - I also hope the Sketchup API is expanded with new possibilities. By the way just in case anyone is interested the background images can be modified with the Watermark Settings in the style options.
Pilou - In my case it sort of was showcasing animations but that doesn't have to be the main purpose. I hope people find unique ideas on how to implement this script into their presentations.

Animations for my Key Scene Plugin
Hi,
This animations were made to highlight a SketchUp plugin I made called Key Scene which enables you to transition through your scenes using your keyboard. All the animations were made with SimFonIA Animation Tools.

RE: [Plugin] Rain - v1.0.0 Beta
EscapeArtist: After watching “Advanced Ruby Scripting for Sketchup” by Scott Lininger I started to get interested in doing these kinds of stuff. Here is a link; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FALvwBN5-hc
3eighty: I hope that is not a concurrent symptom problem.
SimFonIA_team: You guys are awesome thanks for your “SimFonIA Animation Tools”!
To answer your question I have been able to run animations made with your tools while simultaneously running animations that I have coded with my own scripts like this rain plugin for example. A current workflow of mine is to try animating my idea with your tool before trying it on code because I find it to be faster that way.
One thing I have not figure out is to make your record video option to recognize my animation but I recently got “Fraps” to record videos which can solve this problem. I need to check if I can disable the “Elapsed” time but that is not that big of a deal.
A future plan of mine is to be able to share animations like flying birds, moving trees, clouds, ect… with your tool through Trimble’s Warehouse since I feel one of the strongest feature of your plugins is that the animation data stays with the object itself.
Thanks! -

Thanks everyone for your comments!

thomthom – This type of feedback is very valuable and I’ll be sure to study your suggestion carefully so I can apply them later.
