Wait a second... Reg i thought pasta was grown in the field and picked after the first rain cause that's when it curled?

      Reg,
      That's called "CLASSIC"!!!
hehehe, I guess i called it retro since I can't find one with the cool wood grain on it anymore.

seriously Reg, what's that handle on the side for???

Okay- you may not believe this, but there's a little generator in there, and you give that little crank about 600 spins (really fast), you can sharpen about a dozen pencils and make a cup of pasta.
This doesn't work every time πŸ˜‰

Gotta chuckle--- If that's "Retro" what-the-heck is this hand-cranked pencil-eater of mine classified as?

(Just kidding- that is a nice model) πŸ˜‰

When I think of Australian cool vehicles, I think of a movie called (I think) Alice to Nowhere... It was long ago, I'd like to see it again.

John -- every time I see an Australian vehicle I can't help but think of the bush mechanics of the central desert. I happened upon the tv program a few times and it was among the most entertaining TV I've ever seen. One time my then six-year old son saw it with me. He watched with his mouth wide open in curious amazement. I probably had my jaw dropped too. πŸ˜›

    • Pretty lights!

Did you ever turn off all room lighting at night and notice the little (mostly green) eyes glowing in the dark in your computer space?
How many LED (or similar) lights are part of your computer work area?
      My count--
      Printer- 3
      Scanner- 1
      Desktop speakers- 1
      DSL modem- 5
      Monitor- 1
      Keyboard- 3
      Wacom tablet- 1
      CPU tower-2
      CD/DVD- 1
      AC supply strips- 4
My count is 22, excluding temporary items, such as charging light on PDA, etc.
I'll wager that many system have a much higher count.

I really like that style, I wouldn't mind picking up a tablet... how big is the tablet you bought? because I've heard its really hard to do with a tablet smaller than your screen...

Keep up the great work! can't wait to see some more images!

Surprising to me... After about a year with my 6 x 8 Wacom Graphire (11" x 10" overall), I learned to reduce the size of the "active" area, and it actually became easier for me to use! With the smaller work area, I don't have to stretch to get to the far corners of the pad. My desk space is cramped, so I have the pad parked a little too far away.

So-- I'm using a 4" tall x 5.5" wide section, and thinking maybe I could swap for the smaller pad. Too bad it's so hard to find one to try before buy.

So nobody remembers MacPaint? It was black and white, and I loved it. The application, together with MacWrite and the operating system fitted on a single 600 Kb floppy, with space left over for documents. The year for me was about 1986-7

I remember when I grasped the concept of FATBITS. What a revelation!

My computer is a toy compared to what most of you are running, but I'm just a hobbiest.
It did get to page 8 on the test before showing the strain- bounding boxes appeared for an instant, and rotation was a little slow, but still usable.

Hmm- I wonder if this "seed" of an idea has been done before?
The grip would, of course, be tiltable to some degree, with option to lock angle or maybe adjust friction for tilt.
Obviously, I've spent less than 15 minutes- just a fun thing using my friendly little Evernote utility.

The Gadjet Forum was a perfect follow-up to my french toast (drowned in pure cane syrup by Steens) and Community Coffee (New Awlins y'all)

      Small update....
I loaded a typical scanned image with damaged background. The first tool I wanted was the SMUDGE. NOT THERE!
Oh well- I'll try the AIRBRUSH...
      YUP- NOT THERE!
Looks like I was a little hasty.. I did some poking around in the forums and it looks like those two tools are still a long way off.
      DAMMM!! 😑

Oh well- still not too bad for gratis. I'll keep checking the plugins.

    • Not Photoshop, but FREE Paint.net

      Hey people!
I happened across this 2D software, and seems I recall trying it out over a year ago. Well, it appears to be getting better.
For those who may not have heard of it- just google up paint.net (a bad choice of a name, in my opinion).
I've only spent a couple hours with it, but it sure looks nice.
No- I am not affiliated with the author.. etc.
