Way to go, Ultimatez! Good improvements!
When I say the actual lens I mean the glass bit. You can see some ridges in the photo but they are probably more inside the lens, and only visible because of the refractions... an un-rendered image would thus look differently.

Check out this image on how the inside of a lens can look... (too bad, not the exact lumix lens)

No it means that in football, actually the Dutch players in Spanish clubs are the kings!! πŸ’š

      Nice start...

      I looked up an image...

      http://www.vincesiragusodc.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/fe9b3_panasonic-lumix-gf1-1.jpg

It seems to me that the ridge on the left ought to be flatter and rounder... less of a triangle-shaped thing. And the wheely-thing on top is in the wrong position. The lens is much more like a cylinder and the actual lens-part of the lens should have a smooth section instead of ridged... Also the sides of the camera are much more cylinder-like... a smooth transition to the front and back surfaces, but a sudden transition to the top and bottom...

    • RE: The the impotence of proofreading

reminds me of this app I downloaded to my Iphone recently, called "Miss Spell's Class"... The game: a list of 20 regularly misspelled English words... you tell which ones are spelled correctly and which aren't. As quick as possible. I only once got an A, so far... 😞

nice style, Robert. works best with the elevations... I saw some perspectives on your facebook, they weren't as nice (though still fine)
and uhm what's that fence-kind of thing behind the chimney of the first one? Is that for birds to sit on??

    • RE: Problem with shadows

I tried to recreate your problem with a random, not too complex model. And indeed; when shadow is turned on, the clipping plane is further away then when it's off. Furthermore, I discovered that the position of the clipping plane is also dependent on the sun altitude! Meaning noon renders correctly, and sunrise and sunset have too big a clipping plane distance.
You do however mention your model contains houses. Is it a city planning kind of model? These tend to have a lot of detail compared to their overall size. The distance of the clipping plane is also dependent on the overall size of your model. Thus, if you have excess geometry in the outer fringes of your model, see if there is anything you can delete....

      It claims:
