Using SU with Vue (plus l3dt for terrain creation) could be very interesting for me (rendering outdoor top view maps), but rendering with parallel perspective would be necessary. Does anybody know if Vue can do this by now? I tried Vue once 1-2 years ago and from what I can recall there was no way to render orthogonal views. Would be great if that changed. Vue master solo?

Hi There. You can render orthagonal views in Vue, but it's currently limited to the size of the viewport. I can render out 1600 x 1024 orthagonals on my 1900 x 1280 screen.
Thanks for the info. That's a shame because what I need is more like 8k x 8k. Could have been the perfect tool

What is wrong with the UV toolset written by Thom? Could you not use those?
Right, I should give it a try again. Last time I used it it couldn't do what I needed (mapping imported 3ds files), have to give it another try. Thanks for reminding me.

RE: Corinthian order
Impressive level of detail Great job. I'd be very interested in your SU/3dc tutorial.

RE: Top 3 SU plugins
For me it's
- round corner (using it all the time)
- Fredo Scale (dito)
- 1001bit tools (they speed up so many things for me)
Oh, and never go without Purge; couldn't survive without it, since I hate poly/texture size/whatever counting.
A great UV toolset would instantly appear on my list... hint hint.

RE: Lego Model
Couldn't resist Artlantis render + some PS.
But wait, it's a Snowspeeder...
Speed: check
Snow: arg, mission failed.

RE: Prison Scene Revisited
Indeed a strong image. I think the first render is great. The PS version is just... wow. So real, in a scary way.

RE: Sketchup / Artlantis / Lumion / Octane - el azul estudio
Nice, very nice. David Lynch would take the last one as a setting for some really weird scenes

RE: Chess Anyone?
Nice model (would be interesting in which way it would change your play), great render. Twilight amazes me with every new picture I see.

RE: Native village_podium 1.7.1 (with tutorial on page2)
wow, this is great Actually I like the first one more. Still have my problems with those good but yet not fully convincing looking people on the others (if that sentence makes sense to you).

RE: Urban rejuvenation UPDATED
Impressive work... as always
I'm a big fan of your art since starting to watch this forum. -
RE: Sketchup / Artlantis / Lumion / Octane - el azul estudio
Ah, I have to move somewhere I can leave my couch outside, too! I really like the render You just have to love Artlantis' heliondons, such a great feature.
But three things strike me as odd: Entourage again, she looks a bit deformed. The brushed metal shader on the left looks not really believable to me. The glass looks very much like the water. I'd increase the flatness a bit. Is it a water fresnel shader? -
RE: Little Interior Garden
Great work. You've done it again. Your coice of colours just make me feel comfortable. Only the the texture on the couch looks a bit odd. I bit too much disturbance for my taste here (but thats just if you really want to find something to citicize )

RE: Roman basilica - WIP
Very nice model so far (sure it will get even better)
I'm such a big fan of rebuilt ancient architecture. Keep it coming
