I am an ex Sketchup Pro8 user (now retired)!! I have started using Sketchup 2015 for personnel use (just can't keep away !). When I used Pro8 I had many very useful plugins and extensions. With my new free version I do not have the need for so many extra tools but the one I miss most and would love to have again is the 'Mirror' tool. I have looked in the extensions warehouse and cannot see anything obvious that would allow me to mirror objects. Any ideas if one exists for use in SU 2015 and where I might find it?
TIA for any advice or information.

Often the logitech drivers can be the problem. It can be better to run the mouse with the default win drivers.
Hi Box
Thanks for that, worth checking out.
Hi Dave
Don't you ever sleep !! ))
Thanks for getting back. The mouse is a Logitech standard two buuton + wheel. I have tried another mouse (both fairly new)whith the same result. I have re-installed SU but no change. As I say when first installed everything was hunkydory. The mouse works as it should in other applications. Bit of a mystery, guess I maybe stuck with shortcuts for the immediate future. Lucky I've retired so there's no pressure on my output!
Thanks once again.

Hi
My pan and orbit mouse functions have stopped working in Sketchup 2015 (Make version).
It worked fine after I installed SU but stopped suddenly. This was after I inserted a component during a drawing session. Any ideas on how I can get these functions back? Pan and orbit work fine when selected from the menu but I have to exit before going to the next command. The mouse wheel works fine for zooming.
Any advice appreciated.
Many thanks
Again many thanks for the good advice. My old Pro 8 is unrecognisable with the amount of plugins and rubys I had installed so, as you suggest I need to start afresh and as I have now retired I have lots of time to do it....trots off to put some coffee on ...!!!
All the best, P

Before you get too involved in looking for SU8 Pro, you should read this. You should also understand that SU8 doesn't support the current operating systems so you if you do get a copy of it, it may not work correctly The official download options are shown on this page.
Thank you Dave. I suppose it's what I expected the answer to be !! As you suggested there are quite a few options and the most sensible is to use the 'Make' free version although I will miss the layout Thanks for taking the time to reply. Just another quick question - can you install plugins when using the free version?
Cheers
Hi
A long time since I have been on here and wondered if you might help. I am an old Pro 8 user and have now retired from professional work. I do however use my sketchup for personal use and for friends projects etc. I have just purchased a new computer (laptop) and would like to install my old version of Pro 8 as I still use the Layout function. I cannot seem to find a way of downloading a Pro 8 version (64bit) from the Trimble site. Any ideas where I can go for this or am I just a old dinosaur ?
TIA for any advice.
Patrick
Hi Kris. These look really nice. Have downloaded and look forward to using them.
Much appreciated.
Thank you.

Patrick, did extracting just the bit that you needed help with the quality?
Hi Dave
It did thank you and combined with changing the open GL setting to maximum texture size I'm a happy bunny!! I don't feel I need new glasses anymore ;o))
Onwards and upwards......
