I don't mind waiting a bit for the answer (and it has never been very long).

For the record I really think we should have a subforum somewhere for your plugin. So questions can be sorted in some way, instead of being all in a 18 pages topic.

Double question here:

• I often wanted to define a different thickness to finished panels and fillers. is it possible?

• [SOLVED, see below] here I have a weird result. I actually have 2 different thickness, I don't know why, and it is exactly the opposite of what I want

I'd like a finished panel of 30mm and a filler of 19 so it would be flush with the door. Is it a bug or is it me?

and maybe this will help to diagnose the problem: weirdly enough, if I change the door material for 40, for example, i get this!

OK I got the answer to my problem but I keep this post for reference for people having the same issue:
my finished panel (in cabinet 2 tab) "door panel" option was defined as "metric plain door" which seemed fine to me. I just switched it to "--" which solved the issue.

I still would like to change my filler thickness though.

When I select "top" or "bottom" for "Handle Location:" in drawer section of project tab, I end up with handle on the edge of the face (instead of a few cm from the top or the bottom). I cannot find where this come from. I don't see any option that supposed to manage this.

I just discovered that you could use the same sketchup licence on 2 computers provided that you don't use both at the same time. This is great news to me.

So I was wondering if it was something that you could consider for CAbmaker? I'm pretty sure that almost every pro here would love to be able to do that (desk comptuer and laptopt, or laptop and home computer).

I got an error: "undefined method '[]=' for nil:NilClass" while trying to select the "omit drawer front" option for a sink cabinet.

So the cabinet exist. It is defined as a sink cabinet. It has 2 drawers. So far so good. But if I edit it and try to change juste that, I get this error.

If I choose tip ou tray it works, but not "omit..."

I can't figure out how to add a simple color to CAbmaker. I'm trying to follow the steps described in the manual (page 206), I already did it with a texture, but I'm stuck at step 1 because it's not a texture but a color this time.

When I go in sketchup in the materials panel, if I right click on the color I want to add to cabmaker, I can't select "export texture image". It's grayed out.

If I choose a material which is clearly a texture (wood, metal...) the option is available.

any workaround?

I'm trying to add a black that's a bit "less black" as the one in cabmaker is black as this new M.I.T. material, and make every details invisibles, even with shadows.
And I want a real anthracite gray too. the dark gray is not very dark.

Would be nice indeed, the sliding doors, and those type of handle.

for the question below, I just forgot to switch from "sink" type cabinet after generating this one. So problem solved

OTher question: since i upgraded I have a problem with drawers. If I choose 1 drawer, there is no drawer box in the cabinet, so nothing happen if i click "interact".
If I choose more than 1, it's the same for top drawer, but not for the other below.
It looks like an option like "make top drawer as fixed panel" but I don't find anything like that.

About drawer, you mentionned drawer systems template... I'd love to have Blum Legrabox. I don't know how common they are among your client though.

is there a way to have a hole instead of a handle? So not a profile that goes from one side of the door to the other, but just for example a rectangular hole of 120x35mm on the top of a small door.

The 5th version is realy quicker than the 3, that's nice

I thougth about it, and I guess there are 2 difficulties:

• the door profiles are all for framed door, so I suppose the magic behind your "add door profile" process won't work with this. But maybe is there something to do with "panel profiles" you mention in the manual? but I don't see any panel profile in "door profile.skp"
• there should be some kind of specific process capable of adaptating the number of groove regarding the door size.

Using a simple texture would be easier I guess, with the problem of having to create different texture for each case (wood type, color, orientation).

Am I blind, or there is no way to force handle height for the lower part of a tall cabinet? So not the mid section, not the top one, the "default one".

I tried this for the second time since a asked the question but i cannot make it happen.
In the 2 different projects I tried, the behavior is the same. When I copy the cabinets and try to bbatch edit the new ones, nothing happen to them... but the first ones moves a little bit!

In the first project I had 6 tall cabinet and some of them were moving sideways for 60cm or more. In this project one of the cabinet move along the green axis (it goes behind , just on cabinet depth).

I tried to change materials set, door type, handle type, sizes, it's always the same behavior. No changes happen. There is just those move of the cabinet I'm not editing.

I was trying to quickly draw several alternative of door templates for a client, and I figured out that my usual way of doing it (copy the whole 3D, make some component unique, modify) won't work with cabinet made with your plugin.

How would be the right way to do this?

In this case I'd like to male 3 versions of the same set of cabinet, with different doors template (embossed square with mid rail in the middle, or on another height for example).

In the extension manager the "update" button is greyed.

I I click on "install extension" and select the file I downloaded on your site nothing happen. MAybe I have ton uninstall the former version first?

while we speak of hardware support, I think for european customers the most common drawers and hinge systems are from Hettich and Blum. And I know that Blum (maybe Hettich too) has all the 3D components ready to use on their site.
But I guess that's still a pretty big work to implement this in Cabmaker.

But regarding your plugin. Would it be not too complicated to offer the option to "omit" any part of the cabinet? Not just the back. So we could use the same method you used for my former question. create the cabinet. copy/paste the side outside of it. Edit those sides. Then edit the cabinet again and cancel the sides.
