    • RE: 3D model from 2D image

Thank you for your answer but with these videos it is impossible to generate exactly the model you can see on the picture.

    • 3D model from 2D image

      Good morning all,

There is a way to create 3D models from an image with a relief applied.
For example, the image of a square to which the relief "inverted V" is applied gives a pyramid.

How to proceed on Sketchup to generate a 3D model from a 2D image ?

The relief must be limited by a high limit = x : see the follwing image

      Thank you in advance.
      Marc

    • Fill a hole in a mesh of the size of a single triangle

      Good morning all,

I have a mesh (triangular type : STL file) which has a hole of the size of a elementar triangle.
I filled this hole with the pencil tool. This works perfectly as i can't see no longer behind the triangle but the outline of this triangle still appears when I apply shading on all the model.

How to proceed to no longer see this triangle?
      Thank you in advance.

    • Converting a 3D surface (stl mesh) into a 3D SketchUp object

      Good morning all,
I have an STL file that represents a 3D surface (without thickness). It is a mesh based on triangles (Over 600,000).
This surface should have a flat base of a certain thickness with opaque faces on the sides in order to present the appearance of a solid object without hole.
I want to be able to use this surface in SketchUp 2019 software to apply a wood texture.
Please tell me the different operations to be performed to achieve this result.
      Regards,
      Marc
