Okay I think I've resolved the issue, the selecting is not 100% but after installing a new APU driver from DELL I am able to use the select tool quite a bit better than before!

Hi Guys, I'm having issues with Sketchup 8 on my new Win 8.1 Machine, so far the only big issue is the select tool. It will be very slow selecting parts of an object and it will show 2 or three select windows before it finally finishes, and usually it will select other parts of the object I don't want selected. Can anyone help? Is there a patch or plugin to fix this issue? Thanks.

Okay I want to create a damaged section from an existing model. Also would like to know how to get uniform structures like cell tower type, or like the arms you would see supporting a rounded pace station.. I really want to learn this even if there is not an easy way.
