I wanted to try a quick render in Shaderlight using tak2hata’s amazing fur maker plugin.
I rendered the image originally at 1280 x 720 which took around 10 minutes.

nice video, great product.
could you work on the "scene manager" thing we discussed in boulder ?
Hi Bertier, was great to meet you in Boulder. I have mentioned the scene manager compatibility to the development team and we will be looking to add it to the feature list in a future release. Will keep you updated.

Have started putting some of the photos in to a Picasa album, if anybody has any photos from the demo please let me know at mc@artvps.com, we would love to post them in the album.

thats great cant wait to see shaderlight at BC maybe even a hands on test with one of my models
No problems Liam, bring your model along and we will give it a go. Looking forward to the warmer weather?

Rendered in Shaderlight, taking 33 minutes at 800 x 600. Setup using a simple room environment with GI and bump.
Very cool model, look forward to seeing some renders.
How did you pattern the disks on the nose mast?
Thanks for the feedback, there is full control of the lights including intensity, colour and direction. There will also be some new controls for HDR's and a new physical sky system.
The cost is going to be $199 for the Pro version of the software, there will also be a free version.
Martin
The render was done in Shaderlight for SketchUp.
The full release of Shaderlight for SketchUp which includes the artificial lighting features is planned for September so there’s not long to wait. We will be at Google Basecamp so if anybody is going, there will be a chance to get a sneak preview of the final release.
Martin
Thought I would have a try in Shaderlight, it is rendered with IES lights and also GI.
Martin
Just wanted to post an image done with our internal version of Shaderlight for SketchUp. As you can see we have a few different light options and also more bump controls. Going to be rendering with GI soon, so will post up results on that.

I just wanted to let you know that we are currently looking for a permanent Test Engineer based in Cambridge in the UK. You will be testing our interactive rendering software in both 3ds Max and SketchUp.
The job description is on our website http://www.artvps.com/content/recruitment, all the contact details are there if anyone is interested or if you have any questions.
Martin
Hi Guys,
Just to confirm as James mentioned, Shaderlight for SketchUp will be $199.
As James also mentioned in the earlier post it will contain several different light options, so will be able to create interior renders or add some feature lights to an external render. There will also be some other lighting options available to.
We are looking in to some of the problems people have mentioned on this thread, particularly the crashing these get highest priority in development. If you do see any problems please email support@artvps.com and the guys will look at what is going on. But we will be on the forums answering as much as we can.
Martin
Good renders people, given it a try in Shaderlight for SketchUp
Martin
As the weekend is on its way I thought I would create a relaxing scene. Rendered in Shaderlight for SketchUp
There is no post work, this is straight out of the software. Couple of things I would change, but wanted to see what people think.
Martin
Hi guys,
Nice work on the render Fabirossi, just to let you know that we are currently putting the finishing touches on to ground plane shadows so you won’t need to put in a new floor. This will be in the next beta release.
We are also busy working on the release version of Shaderlight which will be available in September, the idea of releasing the beta version of the software to users was to get as much feedback as we can. This is the time where we can listen to users and develop Shaderlight in to something you want.
We would be interested in talking directly to anybody about any feedback on Shaderlight, and particularly following the comments on this thread would be discussing feedback about the material editor. Please feel free to send me a private message through the forum, or email support@artvps.com so we can start getting as much feedback as possible.

Just as a quick example of the SketchUp shadows and shadows generated by the Golf Course Evening HDR supplied with Shaderlight. If anybody is interested we are holding some on-line user seminars and I am demoing the beta version of Shaderlight. If you want to join one later today (Wednesday 23rd June) or tomorrow please have a look at the following link:

PLEASE NOTEWe have changed the time for todays one to 5pm UK time.
First image is using SketchUp shadows:
This second image is using the HDR in Shaderlight:

Would there be additional light source?
What I'm getting was lots of the Enviroments.
And I can't get any soft shadows for the sun. Any help?
In the full version there will be additional light sources so you will be able to light an interior. There will also be a virtual sky environment.
Currently the Shaderlight shadow system creates hard shadows, but if you use one of the Image Based Lighting environments in the settings menu this will give you soft shadows and realistic lighting.
Hope this helps, I can post some simple demo images to show the difference if anybody would like.

Hello michaliszissou,
I work for ArtVPS which is the company developing Shaderlight for SketchUp.
In it's beta stage Shaderlight for SketchUp is an interactive renderer, the changes you make to the model, view and materials in SketchUp will be seen updated in the Shaderlight render window automatically and immediately. The render will then continue to refine to the completed render. These times will depend on the quality setting and resolution you are rendering at.
The full release which will be available in September will contain realtime MELT changes, this means you will be able to edit Materials, Environment, Lights and Textures in realtime without having to re-render.
Hope this helps,
Martin
