Hello
The free LightUp V1.2a demo expired today . Has someoneelse encounter that problem
Is there any possibility to reactivate it, not for commercial use nor intensive use ?
Thanks for any reply

Hi Jim
Very interesting topic. Your explanations give us the key for
understanding Drawing process. We have now a little idea of 3D coding
using Ruby in SU.
You're welcome

Bonjour
@ Pilou

Hi Jim and Gashtan
@ Jim, your tutorial on SU ruby helps me really.
About projections, I would select the biggest external face, define the normal
vector and create a box using the 2 vectors of this face and the normal
one . About dimension, I would take the biggest one on each vector-direction.
Then I would project the object on faces this "outer box" and rotate axes
according space references ( Red, Green, Blue )....
( sorry for that kind of frenglish )

Thanks a lot Jim
I really appreciate
It's exactly what a number of us was waiting for. The tutorial leads you
step by step in making-of. Now, I can go a step forward, having some ideas
I wanted to test for a long while.
Would you agree, I translate your tutorial in French ?

Hello Jim
I rode globaltrainer's post and agree him about SU Ruby's scripts
Sorry for such a question : how do you use the script inside SU ?
( probably with Ruby window..but it allows just a command's line)
Could you explain it in few words, for us Ruby's newbies ?
Thanks a lot

Hi pci
Before "cleaning" SCF, Our friends COEN, GAIUS warned everybody about some modifications when browsing
the forum. For those who had never post or reply to specific subforum, it should be necessary to register for every sub forum. You still can access but been re-registered. I hope my poor English is enough
understandable.

Hi wmanning
All is now ok. I reload SU V6 at its original location ( after removing the previous folder
and saving Plugins;) No problem at all for IDX installation. It works pretty well and quite fast
Thanks for your help.

Hi Jim and Gashtan
Jim, would it be possible when writing this "plugin" to add a lot of comments
in order to understand how the script is done ?( in fact: a kind of tutorial )
Thanks for all your so useful plugins

Thanks for your Hints wmanning
I effectively move the whole Google folder directly under
Tomorrow ( because it's already the evening for me ), I'll check
the probably missing files you speak about.
Really impressed the way you've taken my little problem in consideration
I'll send some backpost later on ..

HI everybody
I tried to install IDX Renderer free version (max 640x480), following step by step
given instructions. A problem appears when installing, the program asks for the latest version
of SU (which is already on my computer for a while) but then denies any installation. Has someone already encountered this ?
Any idea or hints to solve this, are welcome.
Thanks

Bonjour Gwendal
http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot

hi,
The best way is to draw yourself the toothed-wheels you need.
Never forget that Sketchyphysic recognises only convex forms.
Try some existing model (SketchUp Warehouse ) ,dismount it for understanding
then you can copy groups and paste them in your own works.
I'm also interested
You'd rather post in Extension and Applications folder

Hi everybody
I browsed the 41 last ruby pages, and hardly found some ruby introduction (3D Drawing oriented) for beginners
It seems to be a very powerful tool but reading scripts, i'm a little bit lost. Couldn't we open a subforum
( It was suggested by Gaius a time ago), for those like me who have interest in learning Ruby but don't exactly how to begin ?
Of course, I visited a lot of other ruby places, but they're not really SketchUp oriented...
Thanks for any suggestion

Tes vidéos sont toujours les bienvenues. J'ai bien apprécié celle de l'étagère
