It sounds well. Could someone explain how to " associate" curvy joint and a curve ?

And I missed that. What a tool for animated explanations. I can't wait..

Hi All,
Well, I bought SketchUp Mobile Viewer for Android.
It works well. Some options are still missing, but layers are correctly
displayed, and it's easy to navigate. Local files can be viewed, no connection needed.
Some wishes : Dynamic components aren't recognized.
Animations (auto rotation etc...) would be usefull.

Hi All
I'm well interested to buy Android Mobile viewer, but are special features as Dynamic Component working in such a viewer ?
I mean files containing DC ?
Thanks, any Feedback would be appreciated.
MALAISE
Hi Gary
Thanks for your help.
I've found a solution. Please just play with the file.
Explanation: 2Theta is changed into a sub component of Theta, then I considered Theta component as parent...then I can click on cristals to change the position, while the goniometer is turning.Sub DC 2 component.skp
Have a look on the drafty modification.
Cheers

HI Everybody
I'm sweating on setting the following DC Object.
Is_it possible to set a sub Dynamic component inside a DC parent without making it
standalone ?
Let see the file. I would like to be able to "select" position on the cylinder which
is a "child" from Theta ( Cristaux"1)whereas the Theta and 2Theta are running.
Thanks a lot
Pilou,
I try this way. ; )
Pierre
Hi Frederik and Pilou
Effectively, I didn't find solution, as far as Dynamic component is SketchUp internal property.
Thanks for help.
Cheers
Pierre
Hello Everybody
Has anyone experienced Dynamic components exported into 3D PDF ?
Is it possible ?
Thanks

Hello Malaise,
I tried to test if there is a workaround.
A label's text is a kind of "face camera" object.
If you use the 3D Text tool, you can make a component and choose "always face camera" in the Component Window.Sadly Simlab can't transfer this function to a PDF. You can animate every single object, but you can't constrain it to face the camera.
I suggest you to draw a vectorial number near every group/component of your model and add a fixed text area (with the PDF template window of Simlab) with a corresponding numbered legend.
As alternative you can use a coloured legend, if your components are painted with an unuque colour.
Hello Matteo
I almost have the same idea, "Numbers" and a side list. Thanks for this confirmation.
I go further.
Thanks John for your answer. It really helps me to understaand and find an other way.

Once more time, awsome tools. MALAISE
Well, a good surprise and I must tell I was a little disappointed not facing the good old page.
Cheers to all contributors who have made this new presentation.
Great explanation Chri!
Exactly what I was looking for
Pierre
Thanks Pilou,
I'll test freecad and then convert the file.

Hi All
Facing a small difficulty to import STEP ( Stp ) file, I would ask to our " Code Masters ", if they know
a way to convert this kind of file ?
Many thanks.
Pierre
AWSOME, really !
It's a master piece of naval drawing.
Pierre
Nice Fredo, ........ So we have more space for drawing.
Pierre
Hi MgFranz,
I guess you have to explose your groups or components in order to delete the attached animation properties, then
you re-create new groups on which you apply your transformation ( That the way I do when facing theses problems )
