RE: BOOOOM! Revizto Adds Webpage Export!
Hi guys,
Revizto isn’t only lighting tool but also a realtime collaboration tool. That’s the main purpose (and inside Revizto).
Another point to be considered is loading large architectural projects with all the internal construction. It is in demand by architects and large architectural bureaus. And now it doesn’t matter on which device you view the resulting model. Whether it is PC, Mac or tablet – you will get the same smooth experience.
Furthermore, what’s quite necessary is Revizto’s user friendly, easy to learn interface. Most of our users even don’t read any reference documents and start working with Revizto straight away.
Revizto can also render stills using its own ray tracing method with all light reflections (currently only mirrors are not supported, but we are working on it).
Realtime reflections are present as well. However, it is not the main thing for the large architectural bureaus, which don’t even calculate light maps to get smoother experience on huge models! So we have simplified reflections to get everything work fast with good FPS on almost any modern and widely distributed system, including execution in WEB browsers.
To get reflections in real time or for static renderings simply use our Editor’s tool for material editing. And expect more in later versions during this year.
Small sample shot of simple object with realtime reflection of sky on glass (player’s graphic settings must be on max.)
Samples of fast ray tracing (low quality settings)
Project loaded in web (using Revizto’s “Export to WEB” function) that we consider small (it isn’t just one room!)
http://s3.amazonaws.com/vimstatic/exportweb/Old_Town/WebPlayer.html
Now I would like to note how much time it took to get this project published on the web:
- Export model from SU to Revizto - less than 1 min.
- Simple settings of sun position without light map calculation – 20-30 sec
- Export to WEB – less than 30 sec.
- Uploading page to amazon hosting – couple of minutes… (for those who are experienced in it)
In total – less than 4-5 min. Just decide how much your own time costs!

Could you please describe in more details your problem (step by step)?
However it is really could be a problem with drivers of video card or in worst case - outdated video card. -

Does revizto have this capability. Simply put, can I use your excellent program as a way of viewing and manipulating models on an Android Tablet.

Using Android or iOS you need to download our free vewer from App Store or Google play.
This vewer is working with local projects on your tablet, downloaded diectly from Revizto gallery onto your tablet. You may view and navigate your scene. At any time you may connect your tablet to internet(Revizto) and using your 3D scene set new markers with comments, sync with cloud - other members of your team or your customer will see these markers as well, even they would connect later or connected in real time. -
Using tablets you will see the scene with almost the same quality like I posted above, however theare still present some limits due to limited power of tablets. Currently the main limit for Android and iOS is the size and complexity of project (as well as how accurate it was done in SU in terms of 3D modeling culture).
-
There are not web viewers for Android or iOS devices. Revizto web viewer is working only for PC or Mac.

RE: Revizto & Sketchfab
Hi Kris,
Probably we offer much more than many others… and for the low price (at least at the moment ).
Please take a look at the screenshots. You may find there many interesting details. The quality of the final picture in viewer even without calculations of light maps is acceptable (see the comment on the pic).
It is important that to get really the fastest process of export to 3D real time render with simple walkthrough…
The are many other important tools that will help to work over the project and to accelerate the process of collaboration and final development.

RE: REVIZTO: we need your input.
Thanks a lot Kristoff for your valuable input! Please take a look for my comments below:
-
Real Time Ok.. However we are working over optimization of light map size as well.
-
The editor seemed very straight forward. I would like eye height control for pedestrian and a panel to control collision for materials. Ok. Eye level settings is in our wish list from Revit users. We will add it in future versions when other priority tasks will be done. Collisions: there is already present one method to control collisions which is working well for Revit users. We will look for optimization or other method for SU in future.
-
I don't yet know how I feel about people who download the viewer to view my project having to sign up at the website. The viewer itself seemed straight forward enough. I might have the viewer default open to the project gallery instead of having a project open automatically. In version 1.2 we will have option to switch Off default view and after start of standalone viewer will open working folder for your projects.
-
I would suggest something similar to the scenes of sketchup. a predefined set of saved locations and view directions. Customizing the marker 3d object would be nice too. We are working over new type of markers, more comfortable, and yes, looking like normal blueprints markers (close to what you see in SU). In v1.2 will be just cosmetic changes, but soon with the following release after v.1.2 we plan free update with new type of markers. We plan to inform our users almost each week in development news, speaking about new features or changes (on our site).
-
I like the gallery, I would rather it be more open than it is. having to give each person access is rather troublesome in the case of open invitation. Like people who view my website. to invite them to go and see models they may be reluctant to sign up for anything just to see it and then have to wait for me to add them to a list. I would rather just have a link to my gallery from my website and people can download the viewer and go right in. The problem is that the process of collaboration between the project developer and the customer is almost always a highly personal process and is not for everyone. There are also technical problems to make open for loading in viewer every project from a cloud that was done as public. We’ll think about it and keep in mind. At the moment I have some idea how to make access to the model in viewer when you are doing your project public at Revizto gallery – as option in your project page settings. But I should discuss it with my guys is there any contradiction, is it possible and, if yes, then when, according our general plan of development.

RE: Revizto - a first look.
Hi folks,
I posted a few questions that will help us to understand in which direction to go in our further development.

REVIZTO: we need your input.
Hello,
I’m Oleg Maddox, the CTO of Vizerra, the company developing REVIZTO for SketchUp.
Revizto is a package with Editor and Viewer that provides real-time 3D visualization developed especially for AEC projects. It offers easy-to-use collaboration on PCs and tablets to help professionals collaborate with their customers and each other, no matter where they are.As we all know, construction drawings have limited utility when it comes to communicating design intent. Revizto’s mission is to facilitate communication using 3D visualization, by providing tools that are easy enough for anyone to use.
As Revizto’s development continues to evolve, our most important task is to make it even better, but we can only do that with the feedback we receive from YOU. So we are asking you to please answer the following questions to help us shape Revizto’s future development. We would be very grateful if forum members here would post their suggestions and wishes. We realize that you’re busy and that there are a lot of questions, so if you prefer to answer only a few of them, please just let us know which number(s) your are responding to. Thank you for your help!
Questions:
- What is more important to you: rendering with real time shadows or baked lightmaps? Or both?
- Ease-of-use in the Editor. Do you find anything confusing or hard to use?
- Ease-of-use in the Viewer: Do you find anything confusing or hard to use? Is there something we should add? An example of our collaboration with users is here: http://www.revizto.com/community/blog/revizto-weekly-development-update-new-interface-for-project-manager
- Collaboration tools. Markers, Chat, Screenshots, Videos. What do you find most useful? What’s missing?
- Revizto Web Gallery. Is it useful to you? If you wouldn’t use it, why? Is something missing?
- Mobile devices: Currently the performance of large projects can be a challenge, but the power of mobile devices is increasing quickly and we are developing to meet this new capability. Our question is how should we plan our development roadmap to create the most useful mobile tool? Should we decrease the render quality to get faster frame rates? Would it be better to bake the renders instead of providing real-time rendering?
- Is our Online Manual helpful? What can we do to improve it?

If anyone would like to use the viewer to walk through the model it's located here.
http://revizto.com/projects/link/717/8646481a978f015ea2e78438b5ff6f41
Kris, I get this message from you link: "You don't have sufficient rights to access this page"
By this way it doesn't work.
He should invite you from his page using your email. Then you'll have email message with the invitation. Once you accept invitation the project becomes available for download in viewer for you using menu -> folder icon -> Cloud icon -> select available scene. But before this action you should Log In inside viewer using your revizto account. -

I've updated my installation of Revizto. I tried again the original file and again found that the textures were switched around. While there I noticed a few of the textures were missing and some faces were showing through some other faces. I wanted to fix this so I went back into the sketchup model and corrected those issues. While out of Revizto I decided to flush my temp files before opening Revizto again. I did this and when I again imported the model all but one texture were correct. One texture is still being a pain but I believe it is my modeling error having the texture applied at a higher level of the model some where. So temp files seemed to have something to do with my problem. Like you stated earlier when the model was opened in the Revizto Viewer the textures were correct.

To avoid material aberration with new version of Revizto please turn off Material Editor (colored cube on toolbar) and import your SKP as a new project. Or you can simply remove the folder C:/ProgramData/Vizerra/materials. This folder can contain wrong materials from previous version of Revizto due to bug that you discovered for us.
-
In case it doesn’t work for you please send us screen shot of the texture placement in your model (marker directly in SketchUp). For developers is hard to identify which one you are talking about if they haven't exact picture how it should be and its placement in the model. Also, we need texture itself.
We should identify why you still got one texture incorrect in case if item 1 above didn’t help you. Probably, it is graphics file format, which isn't yet supported in Revizto. We should identify which one.
Also, I see in your project you are using some time one the same texture for different kind of objects and surfaces. Please pay attention: if you'll change material settings for this texture in our editor then all objects using that material (texture) will get the same changes.
Flickering textures - you should avoid such things building your project in SketchUp. This is even more important for viewer.
@krisidious said:
An issue I had in the viewer is that the eye level was quite short. it seemed to be around 4'... I would like to have a way to set eye level in the Editor if that's possible. Perhaps it already exists and I just didn't find it.
We plan to add such Eye Level settings in future Revizto versions. It is in our development plan due to often requests of our Revit users.

I also had issue with the collision inside the house. does it not work inside?
About automatic collision model I posted answer above for Solo. Please take a look.
Also, Revizto divide all the objects into next categories:
TOPOGRAPHY,
WALLS,
FLOORS,
CEILINGS,
ROOFS,
PADS,
STAIRS,
COLUMNS,
RAILINGS,
DOORS,
WINDOWS,
FURNITURE,
PLANTING,
ENTOURAGE,
ACCESSORIES,
ANOTHER
The categories from TOPOGRAPHY to RAILINGS have collisions. The rest don’t have it. You can change a category of object in Revizto Editor. Choose in menu Tools/Objects, choose the needed family and right click on it.Happy Easter!

No I'm speaking of the revizto file not finishing the upload to the server. it's errors and says timed out. I will try again and send you the more complete error report. I was under the impression that it was some type of limit in time or file size for the web connection.
Your experiment sounds good. I will also upload the file that I was having issue with before I trimmed it down.
I see you did upload of even more large file .

RE: Revizto - a first look.

The other issue I came into was not so much an issue as a limit. I had problems with the file size. I had to shrink the land and eliminate trees maybe 3 times before the file size got to where it would finish uploading to your site gallery. I think it ended up being 80 megs. the Revizto file not the SU file.
Hi,
strange.... I personally was testing many files (Revizto) with greater sizes and had not any problem with uploading, except time to wait sometime.
Look here: http://www.revizto.com/projects/view/569 - its almost 250 mb.Thanks for using
You may send me private message with your most great size project. I would like to test it for uploading on my side. Then when it is uploaded in gallery I can invite you in private message to look if everything fine or not. Just let me know and we may set such expreriment .
Or, do you speak about 3D view in gallery? Yes there is some limitation in file size, amount of polygons and textures, etc.

RE: Revizto - a first look.
Hi folks,
The problem of correct reading of some textures has been successfully solved in a short time and, as a result, free update of the current version released. For the new users, who have download or buy REVIZTO after 28.03.2013, this problem is out.
Special thanks to users from Sketchucation.com Kristoff Rand and Pete Stoppel for the message and help in identifying this bug.
New version is available for download from http://www.revizto.com for the new users and directly from your Revizto software. -

The file I tried was 60.9 megs... I'll upload it to my server and email it to them.
Hi,
This bug has been confirmed and fixed today. Thanks for sharing this file with us.
Wait new update on the next week. -

Thanks, Oleg. It's set to application controlled at the moment. Should I change it to "on" or "enhance application settings"?
Different video cards - different settings. Usually there is several options for AA On/Off and from min to max. I tnink in your case you should set to On and then select the level of AA.
On my PC it is set to "Application Controlled and level is 8x"
