RE: 1st Time Poster, Fitness Center WIP
Hi wolfy,
Good idea to have used the DOF in Vray. It brings more realism to the scene.
I will try it too. -
RE: Italian Living room WIP
Hi,
I like images with some grain. It reminds me some of my fotos. I think, that grainy images are sometimes a little bit more realistic that very clean render.
Good job. I like this clean and spacious style. Now, you need to add some fournitures to bring life to your living room...

RE: Unseen construction tape line
Hi logscape,
Be careful not to start your guide from an intersection point. Move around it. Start from a line.

Luis, that's a great paver texture.
Thanks Solo.
(P.S. Thanks for the english course : Paver, the word I was looking for
)
Here is another paving texture modified by me. This one is a better seamless one.

RE: Portuguese Houses
I didn't want to put grass on the floor. Instead, I wanted a tile texture as we can see in Portugal. It is difficult to tile this kind of textures, because they are not composed with streight lines. Each tile is different.
I started working on Photoshop to create a nice and realistic tiled ground. Difficult, but possible.
The work is not yet finished, but you can see here the first release. I must solve some problems because it is not perfect. What do you think ?

Portuguese Houses
Hi everybody,
Here is my current wip. Two houses from the south of Portugal (Alentejo). The old style.
I must add some details in the doors and the walls....and the grass..always the grass. This tutorial (http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=11042) helped me for the tiles.
What do you think ? Is it enough realistic ?

I really like the result of the wall material (apart from colour, but I kinda like it
Could you share the settings for that wall finish? It would help me a lot, I am just starting to learn vray
Hi Broomstick,
I didn't import any texture for the wall. It's only a green color with reflexion and glossiness. I don't think that the wall is so beautifoul as you are saying, thank you anyway. The secret to have a nice surface is...... The light. But, it's difficult to give you a recipe, each scene is different. You still can download the SKP file in the previous post.

what is the material you used for the glass?
can you share the setting of the glass material?Hi,
I didn't import material for the glass.
The glass was simply made with a refraction white and a Glossiness value of 0.7. Thats'all....but you adjust your own settings according to your scene (lights).Regards,

RE: Bath room (wip)
Good day everybody,
Ok, my last lavatory was not proportional to the scene (walls). So, I decided to create a new one.
Here is the new ones (maybe I'll put two lavatories side by side).I think I must create another robinet, because this one looks like a gun !

Luis

RE: Bath room (wip)

Yes allanx, there is something wrong with the proportions. I will fix it.
I will try to render this scene again, but with differents colors.Regards,

RE: Exhibition stand WIP
Hi,
Very nice style and very clean. I like the geometry.
Just one thing that a don't like very much : the chairs that are behind the tables. I think you shoud move them around the table just a litle bit.Best Regards,

RE: Bath room (wip)
Yes xrok1, the shadows wan be turned off on the onmi lights in Vray for Sketchup.
We can also turned off "Affect Specular" (what I did) in this render.
I will try a render without this light.I like the green..but you are right solo. I agree, this color is not suitable for a bathroom.
The glass was simply made with a refraction white and a Glossiness value of 0.7. Thats'all.
