Good day everybody,
Thanks for your comments. I'll try to create a best render with nice reflections (without the hidden dashed edges.. )

Luis

Another image (different style) has been added to the first post.
I will try without edges xrok1.
These images have been modified in Photoshop.

Hi everybody,
I'm currently designing a vice.

This is a useful site http://www.defcon-x.de/c4d/textures but notice they're very heavy files so they have to be sampled down.
Luis - those images are beautiful. Can I use them in my next stair model?
Hi arail,
Of course you can ! These textures have been found on the web.
Good day Solo,
Here are some ones.
A little yellow. Just modify it a little bit in Photoshop tu turn them more "white" like your texture.

Luis

I did try to load the free .vismat collection from the vray site but I'm having trouble importing them as it keeps saying "invalid .vismat format" even though the materials are stated as being for Sketchup and Rhino.
I think you don't have the last VRay.

Hi,
Nice render.
I like the ground material. The reflections and colors are very nice.
You should modify your lights intensity, I think it is too dark.

Hi everybody,
For my own use (and maybe share with others in this forum) I'm currently creating some books with Sketchup.
In this thread, you'll find a skp file attached with the first book. I tried to optimize the images size..
Could you give me your impressions about this book, the size, for print (quality) ....
Regards,
Luis
Good day rcossoli,
Nice work but...please, don't call me to help you to paint your profile moldings with a paintbrush
Thanks for the comments.
I will post here some books when they are optimized.
Best Regards,
Luis

Nice work Luis. I like your books. It would be great if you could share them.
Yes I can but...
The only problem, is the file size. I must decrease the images size (currently 6MBytes per book )...I'm currently doing some tests to optimize the files.
Best Regards,
Luis

Dear Luis,
I'm amused by your eclectic reading tastes: 'Getter and Getter-Ion Vacuum Pumps. A ripping yarn, no doubt. Sort of thing I would read.

This books seems to be a little bit complicated for me.
Yesterday, I had some money to spend. I could buy this book on amazon....but I finally decided to buy the Solo's Garden pack,
I hope I will not regret it
Yesterday, I started designing books in sketchup, but it was difficult to find good quality images of books (front + sides + back).
I must take fotos of my own books this sunday, to design more books.
Best Regards,
Luis
