The displacement is very realistic !

Hi Lyall,
I tested some displacement grass. I followed this tutorial : http://rhinotoday.com/2009/02/applying-materials-grass-vray-for-rhino-3d/
(exactly the same as Vray for Sketchup)
To obtain best results, you can play with displacement settings in material and in Vray options.
The displacement map and "normal" map used for my render : http://rapidshare.com/files/329841355/grass-map.rar.html
Here's the result :

Nice idea EarthMover.
It would be funny to create a new thread (or use this one) where everyone could post his own "SCF Snow Globe"
Good day dspace,
Thanks for your comments.
I also did a curve edge...but we can't see it because it is too microscopic
You are too modest pugz1983
Your renders are beautiful, particulary the first one.
Luis
Hi delineator,
Very nice render.
I don't know why, but when i watch your render, it reminds me a model, with very small objetcs. Maybe due to the deph of field. I don't know...
Is anyone felleing the same thing ? Or should I go to a doctor
Anyway, it is currently snowy and cold here in Paris. I'd like to be in that sunny place
Thanks solo for your advice, the render looks better now...and the most important, my lips are now safe...
Majid:
I'll try to make a mold seam as you did in your Mug render ( http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=24408&st=0&sk=t&sd=a).

yes mate nice modeling and render, specially the ice-inside version... I like it
Thank you Majid
Amazing renders
Look like Pixar images...
Here's a new render with a round corner on the rim of the glass.

I think it's good, the render is also good, I like the caustics.
I would however soften the rim of the glass, maybe round corner or bevel as it looks like it could cut lips.
Thank you Solo.
Yes, you are right. I will modify it with round corners.
It's the first time I'm playing with caustics. The glass has been created with default values. I will try to modify some parameters to test different renders.
Hi everybody,
Majid gave me some ideas...I tried to build a realistic glass, but it was difficult. The glass designed and rendered by Majid is amazing. It is very realistic ! My render is not so bad (I hope ), but not perfect. I'm still trying to improve it...
Here is my render.
What do you think ?
Good day everybody,
Here is my render with VRAY.
The "Size Multiplier" parameter (in GI (Skylight)) has been increased to 10 to get softer shadows.
Good day Fletch,
Your final render are amazing. Very clean style.
Good work !
Hi Majid,
Your renders look better that the reality !! Great job.
Thanks for your comments.
@stefanq : The scene has been rendered with Vray for Sketchup Trial (maybe I will buy it).
@mitcorb : I used basic forms (cylanders, cubes and curved lines).
I'm a complete newbie in this kind of modeling. Maybe i'm going to buy these plugins. You gave me the taste to do some popeye heads !
Thank you dolphus for your reply. I will try these scripts tonight.
