      Hi everybody,

At the beginning, this scene has been made only to do some tests with lights.

This scene has been rendered with V(Ray for Sketchup.
I must add more details and (maybe) reduce the size of the stool. It seems disproportionate.
I used two rectangular lights ouside in front of each opening (window and door), one more inside to clear some shadows...and one omni-directional near the table.

All objects are own made. Only one texture imported (Metal).

What do you think about the lighting ? If you have some tips, don't hesitate.

      Best Regards,
      Luis

Les matériaux sont mattes de base non ?

      Salut,

Very nice scene. The composition is well equilibrated.

    • RE: What's your beginners tip?

      Hi all,

Before doing a big change that you are not sure of the result.....first, for security, make a copy of your work (save as). Sometimes, it's difficult to go back (even with CTRL+Z).
I think it's a good idea to save multiple releases of the same project, at importants steps.

Ok, here is my first render.
I chose a displacement for the floor, but the result is not as expected. I was trying to simulate a carpet.

      Regards,
      Luis

      Very nice render !

It is exactly the same in each side. Did you first create one side and use the mirror tool ?
      Very nice model !
As Boofredlay said, I like the different styles (modern draws with roofs..).

    • Chair/Stool Concept

      Hi all,

I'm new in this forum. I've been surfing the site for a couple of days, and I decided to learn Sketchup. I'm a newbie in design (I'm a mail administrator), I ry to learn all your posts. I think Sketchup give everyone chance to show his own ideas to the world.

      This software is awesome !

So, here is my first WIP : A Chair/Stool Concept.
This is a Sketchup style output. I'll do a render soon.

      Regards,
      Luis

P.S. Sorry for my bad english, i'm learning 😉
