      Your model needs a lot of help.

      Reset the axes first--I don't know why you have them screwed up but you do. Then switch to the standard top view and hit Zoom Extents. Your model will show in the lower right quadrant of the drawing window. This indicates there's some hidden or very tiny entities at some distance from the model. Turn off your section plane and clean up the garbage. There appears to be a great deal of bad geometry. There is ungrouped geometry and poorly drawn stuf. Once you clean it up, Zoom Extents will make the model fit closely to the window and you'll be able to print the way you want.

      Thanks David, that must be the problem. I started working on this model quite a longtime ago, with little experience of SketchUp. I indeed did find some tiny entities and cleaned them up. The model now fits better, but there must still be some more that I cannot find anymore. But I am happy to know the reason.
      Thanks again!

      Perhaps you could share a sample SKP file in which this causes you problems?

      OK Dave, the model I want to print to scale 1:50 on A4 paper is for an attachenet too big (ca. 19 mb), so I send you a link:
      https://www.dropbox.com/s/s407k52wm8t838o/Huis100.skp?dl=0

      In the meantime I tested a very simple model but with the same dimensions (ca 6x9 meters) and that was no problem to get it in the center of the paper. So what can be the problem with the bigger model?
      Thanks in advance!

      It sounds like a combination of problems.

      For instance, Section Cut Face doesn't show in the Extension menu. It shows in the Context menu. This is clearly spelled out in the in the usage notes.

      How did you install these plugins you tried to use? What error messages? Did you get? Just telling us you got load errors doesn't give enough information. Copy and paste the errors here. It'll be much easier to help you.

      OK thanks, I installed SectionCutFace again, but what means that it is shown in the Context menu? I did not find it under Window or Tools. So where should I look?

      It's never been an unsolved problem for SketchUp.

      Use Zoom Extents to get the model to fill the drawing window. This will automatically center it. You may also need to resize the drawing window so its witdth to height ratio is closer to that of the paper. You might fine Eneroth Viewport Resizer helpful.

      Hi Dave,
      Yes, that 's how it should be done. But somehow it does not work for me, I usually get in the preview only a part of the plan, while the rest of it is outside the 'paper' (above, under or right of it).
      I installed viewport resizer, but that did not make any difference...

    • Plugins/Extensions don't show up in Extensions Menu

      Hi alltogether,
      plugins and extensions after installation sometimes don't show up in the extensionstab (SU Make 2015). For instance Section Cut Face and TwiLight (Hobby). With TwiLight I also get a list of Load Errors. And after installing Skalp, SU did not work properly anymore. So I deleted Skalp and SU was fine again.
      Who has an idea what to do about this?

    • Print to scale - in the center of the paper

      Hi, printing to scale for me is not the problem, but to get it centered on the paper definitely is..
      Is this still an unsolved problem for SU 2015 (Make), or am I blind??

      Select a section;
      RIGHT CLICK on it;
      Search for SectionCutFace on the context menu that poped open.

      PS: You shouldn't drag plugins to the folder anymore. You should download Sketchucation Plugin Store and install through there. (You could also use Extension Warehouse from Window > Extension Warehouse, inside Sketchup)

      Extending SketchUp has never been easier with a suite of tools that make installing and disabling plugins and extensions a one click operation.

                            ************

      Thats what I did, but when I try to download it from sketchucation plugin-store I get this message:
      "You can Write to the Main Plugins Folder, and...
      You have a Custom-Plugins Folder." When I open Sketchucations Plugin Manager its there, and it is activated too. But its still not in the tab Extensions, from where you always open an extension when needed.

    • Section Cut Face

      Hi,
      I downloaded Section Cut Face and put it in the plugin folder (yes, it is really there), but it does not show up in Skp Extensions. What can be the problem?
      Is there an other plugin for this? I will use it to make construction details withh Sketchup 15 Make.
      Thanks for help!
