Awesome tool! I'll surely be using it to construct custom boxes at our factory. However, I am not seeing the previews during tab creation. Using SU7 and XP. It's not critical though and once again, great tool!

Great piece of work, thank you! However, while I can crease whole faces I can't un-crease whole faces. I have to do it one edge at a time. Any thoughts?
hmmm....works fine for me. I just hold shift and click on the face while using the crease tool....
I've tried on simple and complex models. Could it be because I'm using 7.1? I'll also try a complete restart also. Either way I'm happy to have the upgrade
Do you get any error messages in the Ruby Console when you try to uncrease?
No errors. Ok, it all seems to depend on exactly where the cursor is when I un-crease. If I click on a place on the face that coincides with the smoothed mesh then it doesn't work. Just a quirk of Sketchup I guess. All is fine and thanks for the help!

RE: Model This: Sofas
Thanks, I'll need to wait until I get back to work tomorrow to try that out. However, I have used Fredo's RoundCorner plug to bevel the same model into something a little more similar to Solo's proxy in post #6 in this thread. Still, I get something close to the same result that I posted earlier. I'm just looking for a more efficient work-flow and I'm wondering if that is indeed the final proxy or if more edges or any creases were added to obtain the final smoothed result. Thanks again!

RE: Model This: Sofas
I was just wondering how Solo got his proxy to smooth so nicely... I just bought a copy of Artisan and hoped that the algorithm had improved, but I'm stuck with the same results as the original SD&S.
I have tried to smooth this same model using a proxy similar to what Solo has a few posts above with the same results. Am I doing something wrong?

RE: [Plugin] OBJexporter v3.0 20130131
Ok, I just remembered that Whaat's UV Tools exports to OBJ and all is good!

RE: [Plugin] OBJexporter v3.0 20130131
I was hoping to edit the exported OBJ in Sculptris mainly. I just figured that Ultimate Unwrap 3D would give a better example. Here's what I get when smoothing faces in Sculptris...
Since the faces aren't welded, they 'break' when editing. Would it be possible to export with welded faces?

RE: [Plugin] OBJexporter v3.0 20130131
Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like mine. When I use your OBJ exporter and then open it in another app, none of the geometry is connected. For instance, after loading in Ultimate Unwrap 3D all triangles are individual and not welded. After imported into Sculptris all modifications affect individual faces only. I hope I explained that well enough

SU Pro OBJ in Ultimate Unwrap 3D - Box UV map
TIG's OBJ in Ultimate Unwrap 3D - Box UV map
Any insight as to what I may be doing wrong?

RE: [Plugin][$] RoundCorner - v3.4a - 31 Mar 24
Thanks for taking a look at this for me. While I may not be able to use your script on this particular model, I can see many uses elsewhere. I appreciate the hard work that you and others have put into these scripts and for your time in answering questions. Guys like you have really turned SketchUp into something great. Thanks again!

Hmm, I attached the file, but something messed up. Here it is.

RE: [Plugin][$] RoundCorner - v3.4a - 31 Mar 24
This plugin looks great, but I'm running into a problem here. I have a rather simple triangulated mesh and need to bevel the edges before running it through Subdivide and Smooth. However, the script seems to stop around 6%, yet still says computing.
Any ideas?

RE: Face selection problems
I had the same problem with a brand new Dell system that came with an ATI card (I forget the model). I bought a GeForce 7600 GS and everything's been perfect since.

RE: Toolbars ARGH!
@jim said:
What I tried, and it seems to have helped, is go into the registry editor and delete everything that contains "ToolBars-User"
What this does is reset all the toolbar locations, and (at least for me) allowed me to position them easier.
If you try this, you'll want to close SketchUp first.
Note I am not recommending this, but it helped in my case. Running Windows XP Pro SP3.
Thanks! That seems to have done the trick.(at least until SU mucks it up again) I wonder if SU thinks a toolbar is still there even when it's hidden some times. The next time this happens I'm going to check the the MRUDockID key for each hidden toolbar and see if this is the case. Invisible bars should have a DockID of 0.
Also another idea, for all of us that have to constantly rearrange bars after a bugsplat, resolution change, or plain old SU going nuts, once you have them the way you want them, close SU and export the whole SketchUp6 key in the registry to a file on your desk top. Then if they get screwed up, just close SU and import the registry file. Just an idea...
Thanks again! -
Toolbars ARGH!
Does anyone else have problems getting the toolbars to go where you want them? I've been trying for months now to rearange my toolbars and some just refuse to snap beside of something else leaving my viewport smaller than it could be. If there is any fix that anyone knows of or a workaround that doesn't involve floating my tools then please let me know and thanks in advance for any help!

RE: Major bug?
Sounds to me like a video card (hardware) issue. Check that if the card has a fan, it is still spinning. Could be bad ram on the card or just over-heating in general. The fact that some games crash leads me to believe that this could be the issue. Just my 2 cents...

RE: Just Released! Subdivide and Smooth
Despite my problems with the knife tool, I just demonstrated to my employer how I can now create a seat cushion that normally takes about an hour by hand, in 5 minutes with the help of this script. This, combined with CPhillips FFD script, has made my day and paid for itself in less than an hour!
Thanks again!

RE: Just Released! Subdivide and Smooth
I've tried it every way that I can imagine; top, front, side, perspective, on every type of geometry; flat 2d, 3d cubes, etc. It always offsets the cut when I try to snap it to an endpoint. I hope this can be a quick fix(hopefully I'm just doing something wrong). My employer is, as well as myself, VERY impressed with what this script can do and I'm itching to finish my first model!
