I've just loaded sketchup and found that it won't orbit via the scroll button!! and it won't pan via shift/scroll button
yet the scroll button works fine on zoom and on all other programs.
has anyone else experienced this?? and is there a cure?

I don't see any problem - I rescale objects with similar dimensions every day.
We are seeing the ongoing effect here in Aussieland.
The government had previously called for tenders to build a high speed internet/data fiber to the node system throughout the country.
It was announced today that the Government will build it in partnership with private enterprise. The government will own 51% of the company plus it will be fiber to the house.
You're an EXTREME Redneck when.....
you mow the lawn and find a car.
wow Solo beat me to it.
how about - you nearly drove off the road while checking your neighbours crops.
sorry Gaieus - I didn't expect such a fast reply at 4 am
I should have realised the problem earlier - damn glue I just wanted to move the whole model up but there was a component with glue on so it wouldn't budge.
sorry - problem solved - I had a component that was glued!
If you group a series of objects and wish to move them vertically by .088m could some one please explain how to do it in sketchup 7? in 6 it was simply holding down the up key that locked it to the blue vertical but that factor has gone in version 7, you could also lock onto a vertical line on any part and lock to that - it has also gone in V7.

I count 6 Global PMs in the last 4 months. Are you receiving PMs from mods more frequently?
I have 13 messages in my inbox, one is from another member of this forum, the rest are moderators telling me stuff I could easily read as a thread posted in the forum. PM stands for personal message, it doesn't stand for moderator spam. This is the only forum I attend that does this. Considering this forum appears to have more moderators than members it's very annoying.
what pisses me off?? constantly receiving emails from the moderators of this forum telling me stuff I don't need to know under the guise of personal messages.
While on the NVidia subject FYI they have just released new drivers for my 7 series but it appears it applies to 8 and 9 series as well.
well Tom - today our troops in southern Iraq pulled down the aussie flag and are starting to move out. We've had 500 troops there for the past , what is it? 5 years? amazingly we have had not one casualty in that time.
I don't want any of the above.
I just want to be able to stay in Sketchup instead of having to go to AutoCAD.
I'm a climate change skeptic. I've followed the debate closely and I believe the scientific community has failed to prove any of the conclusions Al Gore so forcefully presented.
here's a fair summary of my views as presented by Prof Don Aitken.

note the snide introduction by Robyn Williams, the presenter of the Science show and a confirmed GW believer. There is also a reply to Prof Aitken's remarks here.

I really feel your pain Tom and Allen. I've watched the slow destruction of the US over the past few years, from "we stand for liberty and justice" to the apologizers you've become.
You are not alone though - we Aussies feel just as responsible as we were with you from day one in Iraq. We are withdrawing our troops from Iraq but strengthening them in Afghanistan. We had to change the government to stop the fiasco, I believe you need to do the same. It's a great relief when it's finally done
believe me - you'll feel better in November when hopefully it will all be over.
thanks for that info - it would have been very hard to police anyway.
the advantage of Pro over free is you can use it professionally and charge for your work.
I wish there was an option to Tile the scenes, i.e create another row of scenes when screen width is exceeded.
I installed SP3, no problems with install and reboot. Xp does run faster under SP3 and it solved the wakeup from sleep problem I had. It also fixed the problem I had with recognition of USB devices that occured with my digital camera.
As I understand it the install problems occur with AMD processors and with some HP laptop models.
In case you haven't checked on 24th April a new version - big update IMO. Works faster, has cool sun mode showing who's in night and day. All the original low res appears to have been updated, text works better - definitely worth the download.
cheers
