    • RE: [Tutorial] Quick octahedron

      Hi folks.

In my tutorial, if you use the Polygon Tool instead of the Circle Tool, you will save the unsmoothing step.

So it becomes a very quick octahedron drawing.

      Just ideas.

    • RE: [Tutorial > Modeling] Multiple leads?

      Hi Giddon, hi folks.

I made some tutorials back in 2004, using the empty text technique, and explained it on the old SU forum.

See attached SU 4.0 file for ideas.

    • RE: [Tutorial > Modeling] Stone patio basic modeling technique

      Hi Chris, hi folks.

O.3" is 7.5mm (75mm is 3 inches). Other than that, this is an excellent tutorial. How about softening the upper edges of the stone tiles ?

      Just ideas.

      Hi folks.

As soon as you have the magenta or pink inference, press and hold the SHIFT key to lock it. Then you can lengthen the line.

      Just ideas.

    • RE: Revolution in 3D

      Hi folks.

Lets hope that we will be able to have access to a lot of materials since the usual plastic used for 3D printing will not satisfy the required mechanical resistance of many of the objects we need.

Just go around your house and make a list of what you see : steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, copper, brass, thermoplastic, clear plastic, polystyrene, polypropylene, glass, paper, cardboard, wood of all kind, concrete, brick, plaster, etc.

      Just ideas.

    • [Tutorial] Quick octahedron

      Hi folks.

      See attached SU file.

Of course the fastest way is to import the existing component but it may need rotations to reorient it.

    • RE: More axis requests

      Hi folks.

Use scenes to remember you different axis settings.

Set the transition time between scenes to 0.

Using the Scenes manager you can even gives meaningfull names to the scenes.

Just clicking on tabs will allow you to quickly switch from one set of axis to the other.

      Just ideas.
