Podium 2.0?
watch this thread rack up like a million views
anyway, what do you think (or hope) is going to be in podium 2.0? lets start thinking...
i think that they are going to add light refraction, faster render times (duh), and try to get rid of omni-light "burn out". i also hope that they will fix a glitch i found: if light is shining though colored glass, the light that goes though and hits the floor is not that color. its just white. i hope they'll fix that.
anyone else?

RE: Igor's renderings
im well on my way with podium.

RE: Car renders,WIPs&videos
good! not too over the top, and not too subtle. put some wheels on it and lets see how it looks!

RE: Matching a 2d image
just press "print screen" on your key board when you are satisfyed w/ your current view. then open the image editing software of your choice (ie photoshop, paint) and press "ctrl+v". the image will apear and you can save in whatever format you want.
done
btw, good luck with learning SU!!

Using SP for class project
exiting news! im currently using Sketchy physics to help design my physics class project. the goal is to make a "car" that holds a raw egg. the car must travel down a ramp and hit a "wall of doom" (named by the teacher), and have the egg survive intact.
i dont use SP to simulate the egg, just how the car will react with the wall of doom. so far it has been a huge help in terms of visualization and planning. thank you SP developers!

RE: Igor's renderings
indigo refuses to work! the tool bar show up, but there are no buttons on it! (d'oh), i messed around w/ the files, and now the tool bar doesnt even show up!! i looked on the indigo site and they said to just put the file in the plugins folder.
it didnt workin the mean time, here is another podium rendering (model found on 3-d warehouse):

RE: Igor's renderings
hey, thanks a ton. i feel kind of stupid now, especialy since you had to make a drawing for me. I never thought of looking under "view"! indigo renderings are on thier way!!

RE: Igor's renderings
i dont see a render button, you shure your talking about indigo? podium has a render button.
here is another render, from podium, model found on the ware house
hope it works. the file was to big to attach
edit d'oh, didnt work. just copy/paste the link

RE: Car renders,WIPs&videos
great model! from the back it looks kind of like an Acura suv.
My sugestions: try not to squish the back window, it looks kinda tiny, tone down the spoiler just a touch.great car though, and an even better front end. the grill looks like it was inspired by the new Nissan GTR. overall its a very real-looking, feasible car. great job!

Igor's renderings
all renders done in Podium free eval 1.5 i will state wether its another soft ware or not. im still kind of a n00b to forums so i might have some problems uploading.
(if the picture shows up) this is done with google components, had to stop when the "sparkles" error started showing up (i.e. sparkles started to apear all over the place)

RE: Car renders,WIPs&videos
hey, i really lie your designs. im also absolute car nut.
so if you like, i can critiqe your designs.
ive noticed that you seem to like the tuner car kind of styling, seems to me like you might play alot of Need for Speed. though i dont necesarily like tuner cars, i do like your style of design.
once again, great designs. if you would like my input on them, just PM me with a render or the SKP file when you post them and i'll post my input on the thread.great models and renderings!

RE: Fast Food
hey, first post!
ill ad my 2 cents: i know the client wants the building that way, but such a refined and modern interior should not go with such an obnoxious exterior.
ps: nice render though, did you use bumpmapping on the exterior tiles? i especialy like the interior lighting
