The US call them Big Rigs or Semi's, In the UK we call them lorries or arctic's(articulated). As we have many nations here I thought it was prudent to give the post a tile that covered all the bases
Thanks for the information. I thought the only difference was, US is left-hand drive while UK is right-hand drive...hoho

Hussel, you are not from Canada Eh! It resurfaces the ice at hockey rinks.
thanks for the enlightenment Roger..
and yes...am not from Canada... -
RE: UK Arctic (Semi) Lorry (Truck) Trailers
Clean, plain simple but really detail modeling.
I have one question in general...
What are the differences between Semi, Lorry and Truck? -
RE: Zamboni
Nice one...
What do this machine does actually?
Never seen it before... -
RE: Never upload your work to 3D warehouse!!!
I can't believe that all the models that I click to see are all reported stolen.
Its funny and creepy at the same time. Titi aka Oliver Aubry is a 3D model psycho @ stalker maybe... (just joking) -

Hi there...
One of the reason I am always here in SCF is to see your continuous masterpiece, for my inspirationMy comment would be...
I think a ladybug should be more red than black. About 2/3 are red and the other 1/3 are black in terms of body color proportion. Imagine that the windshield is red, but then you will have a ladybug that fly backwards.
Two large black spots on each side of a ladybug wing that may be represent by turn signal lights, or anything might add more "ladybug looks" into the model. Side mirror more to the front wlll look like the ladybug antennas.Cheers Hussel for the praise, lol, i dont want to make it look entirely like a ladybug/ladybird, i just wanted to give it a shape that resembles one, also iv a logo for the side im working on right now which is a ladybug on a spot, if i made it look too like a ladybug im sure it wold take away from the design, after all no one wants a car with black dots all around it,
on second thought...yeah...you're totally right.

RE: Sh00ks says hello
Wow...
Drawing a single HDD VCM assembly in 2D is so frustrating for me, with all those 4 decimals dimensions and most of the time, the component blueprint is not giving a close loop geometry when drawn in CAD software. A HDD basedeck is much much worse because the blueprints dimensions are different between casting and machining and the numbers for normal and critical dimensions are a lot more than the VCM.
Salute to you...

RE: SU / Spaceclaim
Wow..Spaceclaim is a very impressive software.
But it seems that they are almost completely focus on engineering/industrial purposes. This is what I think when I click on their "Solutions" tab and read about them inside Wiki.
I think that Spaceclaim only focus on one particular thing and came out with a better solution or result compare to other CAD software of the same category.
If SU is subdivided into SU organic, SU mechanical, SU architecture, etc...they can do better or at par with Spaceclaim.
Just my 2 cents opinion though...

RE: Old Afgan ruin
Hi Damien...
After seeing your tips & tuts, here is what I came up with. A Smurf's house.
Still pretty rough + my hand is not sturdy enough when using "free hand" tool to create those rough wood effect.Looking forward for your next masterpiece...
Thanks!

RE: Final Fantasy Buster Sword
Aaahhh...brings back memories.
Cloud's sword is nicely modeled.
No C&C from me but, how about Squall's Gunblade for next project? -
RE: Old Afgan ruin
Simply Wow!
The terrain is blur on the last image. Is it due to the texture resolution?
One more thing sir, is there any reason why the terrain is not looking "alive" like the bricks? (No bump) -
RE: Old Afgan ruin
Thanks for the tips and tuts Damien..
Appreciate it so much..
Thanks!!! ( x 100) -
RE: Old Afgan ruin
what you've done really amazed me.
...because I have no idea how u build the wall. looks like u model the brick one by one and put them together and then smash it with a SWAT's metal ram using Sketchy Physics. I really want to know how u create that openings..Thanks!!!

RE: Concept kitchen - big island and tea pot
Hi Pawel...
the model is nicely done and the rendering is also good.
try to find a dust particle on the floor but to no avail...
one thing that I would like to comment is the kitchen looks like it was build in the middle of nowhere.
Adding some fencing and something on the table top/island might be a good idea. just my 2 cents...I'm a noob though. -
RE: Kitchen
Nice kitchen there
It seems that a rice cooker is very important to you.
Just a wild guess...you must be having rice everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner, am I right?
