      Hi,

I got some rendering problem again... The rendering wont even start, the frame buffer does not open at all, the computer is just processing "something" for a long time, sketchup is not responding and then suddenly processors stop processing and I am back in the sketchup window but with no render:) please help!

Im pretty sure thats a bug. I have had this problem happen alot to me. The only fix I found was to reopen a previous save. Sorry dont know any other fix πŸ˜•

First of all great news that vray 1.5 for rhino has been released. Well done development team. But I still can't see any beta release happening anytime soon. Cos I think it's Gona be a lot harder to implement features inside SU than it has been in Rhino. But I'm happy that we are heading in that directIon anyway. My guess 6+ months.

      Great start
I think your lighting looks spot on. I would reduce the AO, I think its a bit heavy. In the corner of the room you can see a defined smudge course by the AO. This should be more subtle.

Where did you get the curtain model. It looks fantastic.

Look forward to seeing your creation with textures.

I suppose blender/vray will really come into its own when dealing with heavy scenes. Have you played with proxies/instancing yet, or a textured model that would normally given you a hundred bug splats?

      Thanks Anybot
This is very exciting. Ive started to watch some video tutorials. Seem all very compatible to what we know in Vray4SU.
Have you already purchased the standalone or are you still using the demo versions.

      Brilliant again
The rain drops on the window are a great touch. Where did you get the tree models from?
How do you manage to render in Vray with all those high poly trees. I find it such a battle
      to avoid memory loss crashes.

Would like to know peoples thoughts on the matter. This Campaign seems to have sparked MAJOR debate. I'm not totally convinced on its angle. But one thing it did do, was to open my eyes and realize, I was doing nothing to help other people in need. So I signed up to sponsor an under privileged child in my own country.

    • [REQ] Shiplap Vertical Cladding

      Hi All
Ive been on the hunt for a very good shiplap texture like in the images below.
Im looking for a very high quality texture, preferably with a bump and reflection maps.
Something of this quality I would presume would only come from a paid site.

Has anyone come across a material similar to this? I have looked through Arroway and Turbosquid sites with no luck.

Thank you very much for the explanation. I appreciate your time. I really presumed bug fixes could be rolled out as a patch. 😞
Well here's hoping for a very smooth development run for you.

    • RE: More VR4SU Griping

      Hi Deven
First of all we all appreciate a response from the development team. So thank you. I hope you realize that most of our annoyance
is from the fact that VR4SU seems to us, to have never been completed. These year old bugs are hammering our work flow. All we ask are some fixes. I just cannot understand why these were not addressed before starting a new project. You have said on another post that this was Chaos Groups idea. I just hope you can understand how we as paying customers in a very competitive market. Are gutted that a tool we purchased works below par.

Please note that I am only talking about bug fixes. I will wait patiently for new features.

Prices of jobs have fallen swiftly in this world economy. I do not get paid nearly as well as I used to for Architectural presentations. So I need a software to preform as it should. At the moment I'm finding that its not. In short. Because of bugs, it takes longer to complete work, which means i earn less money. The learning curve with this software is hard enough as it is. Let alone spending extra time researching and testing work arounds for bugs.

      So my questions to you.
Is your next design cycle to fix bugs in the existing VR4SU?
Does that start as soon as VR4R 1.5 is rolled out? (Becomes a paid product)
Are you still on track to roll out VR4R at the end of Feb? (which is now)

      cheers.
